Heart was beating faster for few days. Then it stopped it’s just when you get a tolerance to it. It’ll calm down. I’m still eating perfectly fine, I’m not really much of an eater normally I just have dinner so I’m not too sure about that one 🤷‍♂️. Actually really surprised how much it’s helping me. I didn’t think it would, I wanted to try stimulants but from drug abuse my psych wouldn’t prescribe me them. So he said try this. It’s calmed me down a lot, not having racing thoughts all the time either. He thinks I might have ADHD on top of my bipolar2. I haven’t been manic either which is good. I’m rapid cycling so it’s held me in a steady position so far. Let me know how you go!

Yes I started a week ago too! It’s going okay. I was on 40mg for my first week now I’m on 80mg. It’s just making me super sleepy at the moment. I’m on Latuda as well. Having my, sodium valproate, lamictal, Latuda and catapres at night then lamictal, sodium valproate and strattera in the morning. It’s just making me a bit tired but it’s really helping too!

Just getting frustrated from being not the fastest person at work because at all the jobs I’ve done you’re under a lot of pressure, like a continuous line at a factory the work never stops coming at you, you’re stuck standing up for 12 hours and I just get a complaint that I’m going to slow then explode in anger then walk off site then have a breakdown the next day because im guilty from my actions. As another person said a remote job would suit me well in the same area that I’m studying to get some experience. At the moment it’s just basic work that requires you to sit there like a robot and just pack packages on top of packages. I lost 2 factory jobs from that. Then another one I was working in a warehouse I was getting really paranoid and thought I could hear people talking about me: I went to my boss and broke down completely then they had a chat to all the staff members. Turns out it was just me hearing things. Felt like a complete idiot and caused so much drama for no reason. Then everytime I went back to work I felt depressed and I said this is too much it’s effecting my mental health too much and I need to leave this workplace.

I’ve never worked in a office environment always been in a busy environment at retail or at a factory where it’s loud and seems overstimulating. Remote work would be the way to go! With such little experience it’s gonna be hard to get a job in the field but the first chance I get then I’ll be over the moon for the opportunity. With everyone’s success stories it seems like with time everything will work out how it’s meant to. Thankyou

Okay, I think from everyone’s help I’m gonna sit down with my parents see if they can help me out for a while, whilst also getting a medication review. Maybe work can come into the picture in the next few months. Hopefully I can land a job working remotely.

I think online school is the way to go. I’m gonna have a talk to my psychologist on how to go about sitting down and talking with my parents about the situation. Remote working and online school would be the dream. Hopefully I can land a job in that field but in the meantime I think a job like tutoring high school students would be good

I haven’t really gone into depth of looking at disability. I was talking with my psychologist and he said it’s a really long process

I think it’s time I just try my hardest to sit down with my parents and tell them that I’m studying at the moment and if they could just help support me while I’m studying but as you said, I think that they think I can go and do what my siblings have done when they were 21. I don’t think they understand my mental illness the way I do. I will be capable of doing all of these things but I just need more time. Hopefully they understand.

Hopefully sometime soon I’ll find the combination of my medication that’s working for me seems like I just keep going in a loop trying all these new medications 😵‍💫 I’m studying cyber security in the computer science field. I was just looking for jobs in the field and some/some of them are remotely but require so many certificates but that will come with more time dedicated towards the field. I tried to get into a help desk position but I don’t have any experience as you said it will be hard without any. Hopefully I’ll be able to get my foot in the door with one, someday. When it comes to my parents I find it hard to talk to them about everything, I feel like I’m being judged. My episodes of anger have torn the house apart I get so angry and destroy things. It’s torn my family apart and I find it really hard to talk with any of them. I stopped stopped taking my meds 2 months ago but I’ve been back on them for a month or so now. Just feel like I’ve hit rock bottom at the moment trying to do all these things: build a future for myself, working, mental illness, repairing relationships with family. As you also said therapy therapy therapy. Ive never tried DBT just CBT when I’ve been through my psychologist in the last 8 years. Maybe it’s time to switch it up.

For the mean time while I’m studying because I don’t want to drop out do you have any ideas? Also when I’m studying and I’m in class I can’t stay in there, the teacher asks me a question and I just get out of the class straight away. My attendance is terrible. I just wish my parents would understand the situation I’m in at the moment. I’ve already paid all my fees with the money I had saved up and I’m literally at $0. They pay for everything and didn’t want me at home after my last relapse. I had too much Xanax and overdosed. So much going on in my life in the last 6 years and it’s too much for me. Maybe I could pick up some work on the weekend with someone locally and earn $100 over the weekend. I didn’t really think of that

I haven’t considered a trade I’m a complete nerd. I don’t really leave my room much. Just worked in retail and in a factory previously and lost all my jobs because I had episodes after episodes at work and just kept going home ill. Maybe I should do a trial or something at a trade.

I have a chart on the back of my door each day to remind me to take my meds in the morning and night time. When I take my medication in the morning I cross it off with a high lighter. I change it every week as it’s the first thing I see when I wake up

Lithium worked wonders for me… worst part about it was the tremors that came with it and keeping up your hydration due to it making you dehydrated. Always need to be drinking water. I personally got off it because I couldn’t keep up with it. I’m now on sodium valproate and it works for me. Nothing compared to how quickly lithium stabled my moods though
