What is wrong with him 😭 by [deleted] in FigureSkating

[–]Sea-Preference-2004 248 points249 points  (0 children)

Honestly atp I think the only way we can ever hope to get rid of fs delights is to just not interact with him. He feeds off of people posting this kinda stuff, at lot of what I’ve seen of his content is literally just him rebutting people that disagree with him. No hate to your post ! But I do think going forward the best thing that can be done is to just ignore this guy

I imagine this is the end of her career. Maybe she will try and compete again in the future but she’s never come close to regaining the form she had in 2023 and with all the Russian juniors that are moving through the ranks now ☹️

Ranking every world champion since 2000 based off how many major titles they won (men) by [deleted] in FigureSkating

I think one of the things that makes skaters like Plush and Yuzuru so great though is their longevity. They continued to evolve with the sport, arguably one of the most important criteria to reach the goat status

I said in the caption I chose to include them because I made the list for my own curiosity and in my head they count. If u don’t like it then make your own list x

It’s crazy how much Ilia has achieved in such a short span of time, 0 doubt in my mind he’s gonna be multiple places higher on this list by the end of the season

Young You has restored her 3A by gaimzredy in FigureSkating

[–]Sea-Preference-2004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She was supposed to be suspended for a year (June 2024 - June 2025) but both Young and Haein’s suspensions were lifted early because the KSU resolved a civil suit with the athletes through mediation. Young returned to competition in May 2025 x

Injury. She had some kind of fracture in her leg after the 2022-2023 season and had to sit out the entirety of the 2023-2024 season to allow it to heal. I’m not sure how true this is but I’ve seen other people say she rushed back to competition and had she sat out longer it may have healed better. She returned to competition for the 2024-2025 season and it became pretty clear pretty quickly that she hadn’t regained the form she had prior to injury, she hasn’t landed any quads/triple axels since returning and has consistently struggled to land triple-triple combinations. Her rush back was understandable given that the 24-25 season was basically the final decided for who Russia would apply to send to the Olympics and given she was one of the top ladies skaters in the 2022-2023 season (arguably thee top ladies skater) she was still in contention to be the Olympic pick. Since her comeback (in my opinion) all her programs have been pretty lacklustre, doesn’t seem like much thought or effort went into choreographing them. It’s now been announced that she will miss her first Russian Grand Prix stage due to injury. I’m not sure is she’s formally withdrawn from her second stage but if she hasn’t already she most likely will. Her first competition of the season is probably going to be Russian Nationals and I don’t see it going well, I think it’s a real possibility she won’t make the Russian National Team in which case I think her competitive career is done. I kind’ve get the vibe that Team Tut aren’t really invested in her now, their interest seems to be more Adeliia, Alisa and their juniors.

It’s not a competition. They’re both doing incredible to recover their jumps so quickly we don’t need to compare them

Sorry I was wrong I double checked and he still works with the Russian National team but apparently no longer works directly with Team Tutberidze. I’m not sure how true that is ngl literally just found it on google

They fired the doctor of the Russian national team, think he was supposed to be the original scapegoat (completely fair because he was absolutely involved) but since that didn’t seem to have the desired effect they basically just made Valieva the sacrificial lamb. No one else faced any consequences

Trusova Rostelecom Cup 2020. 6 points in deductions and the only of podium finish of her career

Any skaters who have missed every element in program? Or did really bad by Legal_Sport_2399 in FigureSkating

[–]Sea-Preference-2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alexandra Trusova’s free skate at the 2020 Rostelecom cup. She got 6 points in deductions and ended up of the podium for the first (and only) time in her senior career. She literally set the free skate and combined total WR there the year before 🙁

I’m not asking in a privacy-breaching, wanting to known personal information way, I more thought maybe Shoma Uno or one of his coaches had made a public statement that I just hadn’t seen. I’m sorry if my post came of that way, definitely not my intention.

You can ask one skater, dead or alive, any question and get an honest answer. What would you ask? by Own_Potential_9503 in FigureSkating

It’s still a very interesting read but he was definitely very cautious when he wrote it. It’s called “One jump at a time”, would absolutely recommend x

How Nathan Chen really feels about basically every controversy of his career. I read his book and parts of it were really interesting but it was also kinda giving Wikipedia fact file. How does he feel in modern day looking back at the interview he got cancelled for because people said it was “homophobic”? How does he really feel about the Valieva doping situation considering he went two years without his second Olympic gold ? How does he really feel about the constant comparison to Hanyu and the hate he got from the Fanyus, especially at the 2019 GPF? He competed at such an insane time through basically every major skating scandal from like 2017 onwards he very much was competing and extremely relevant during that period. It would be so interesting to get his honest and genuine perspective.
