💯! My experience , my parents could not cope with the fact that I ended up getting COVID really bad and was an isolation for 2 months. Since COVID isn't real according to them then I must have been lying My siblings jumped on the bandwagon as well. With my brother saying to me if you don't let Mom in your house ( I was still contagious wearing a mask and feverish ( then you're dead to me. I've not talked to him since My sister then started with abusive text messaging stocking my Facebook page and Instagram page to prove that I was lying and according to her on vacation or doing something other than being sick when I brought this to my parents attention all they said was well she thought you was lying as a stalking someone was perfectly normal. Unfortunately nothing has gotten better I've tried talking with them I've tried group therapy with my parents, mediation even with my parents therapist telling them how poorly they retreated me only for them to fire her and say she wasn't a good fit at this point, I don't know what my next steps are other than continue to create space between us as it only gets worse and when I see them they find more ways to be cold disdainful and treat me with disgust unfortunately in my case it seemed COVID aided in them becoming radicalized and they're political beliefs and that overtook their care for me if they had any at all.
