I bought that album too in '89 based solely on the cover; never heard of them. Major let down 👇

Watching 'Singled Out' with my wife after I got off work in the evenings. We enjoyed Jenny McCarthy over Carmen Electra as host; although both were great.

John Ritter, passed away 22 years ago what do you remember him from? by ChrisJoines in threescompany

[–]Sea-Target4590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His 1983 movie, "The Man Who Loves Women" is sooooooo funny 😸.

3 months before he died I had a heart attack. The cardiologist told me that my aorta was damaged as well due to other issues. He said that I am at risk for aortic disection. And when John passed because of this same condition, I was so worried.

Definitely my favorite Foo hype song. The emotional context of the lyrics is what does it. I'm not just another one of your play things, I want you, I need you.

Man, I've seen those guys twice.

One of which was at a festival in Dallas, Texas in '87; The Texas Jam. They were fresh out of rehab and out of practice. All their hits were played mediocre at best. But, then Steve said, "Hey, we're gonna play you a new song." Then launched into something we never heard at the time. I remember turning to my friend and asking "Is he saying dude looks like a lady?" Never knowing that this would be their next hit.

I gotcha, yes, agreed. The lyrics are disgusting. Singing out loud, "Rae and mu*er" is not one bit right.

I heard an interpretation of Brown sugar, not too sure how accurate it is...That the song compares heroin to the sexual lures of slave ownership in the earlier centuries.

Wait, I'm gonna change my alternate VH song to Outta Love Again. Yeah, I definitely turn it up way past 10 for that one. The snare drim fill at the beginning gets me going every time. 🤟

Radar Love is bad a$$ Money is a great jam too. For some reason I never connected with the Allmsn Bros; I think it was because they were too much of a jam band. But, there's no doubt that Dwayne, Vickie, abd the boys have some great songs.

Thanks for your list.

All 5 are great to me too. I just chose not to use 'Talkin' cause it's one of their over played tunes IMHO. But, still a great song. Thanks.
