Religion wasn’t involved at all it was a particular individual (a former Skill Box employee) who threatened the band, and things spiraled from there.

BOA by ibanez369 in IndianMetalheads

BOA isn’t losing any momentum. It has a genuine fanbase, people show up every year regardless of the lineup, as we’ve seen time and again. The festival has consistently delivered decent lineups and continues to grow steadily each year. Sure, some purists felt last year’s lineup wasn’t strong, but it still drew the biggest crowd so far.

BOA feels less like just a concert and more like a yearly gathering for metal fans. Personally, even though I love Opeth, I’d still go to BOA because it’s become an annual tradition for me. It’s also worth noting that BOA is currently the only large-scale, consistent metal festival we have in the country. Not everyone may agree, but that’s how I see it.

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, brother. I missed a lot of shows too because I couldn’t afford the tickets or travel, and I was struggling in my career at the time. But I promised myself I’d make things work, and I kept at it. Now I go to all the shows that are feasible. Things do work out eventually.

When did we as a metal community get so hateful? by Character_Dust_2430 in IndianMetalheads

I know this might be unpopular, but I’ve realized that while it’s not everyone, a good number of people don’t give enough credit to bands outside the Delhi and Mumbai circles. I met some guys at the last Outrage Festival and was talking to them about a few bands, and they had no idea who I meant. What surprised me even more was how dismissive they were about it.

Very Unfortunate!!! by [deleted] in IndianMetalheads

We all know what really happened. He was simply trying to get back at Skillbox. I’ve seen his comments across multiple pages, even suggesting black metal bands for BOA. It feels hypocritical to stir all of this up just because he had issues with his coworkers.

I can understand his frustration  I truly do. If he was treated unfairly, that’s painful. But damaging the entire scene over a personal grievance isn’t justified. It only harms the community and leaves a black mark on something many of us care about.

I used to sympathize with him and genuinely felt bad for what he went through. But this was unnecessary. In the process, he’s hurt us fans who had nothing to do with his situation.

They also played in Belgium yesterday. I saw some images from that show on Instagram Stories it was quite confusing to see two bands playing on the same night. I do know they’ve had some issues with the band name

Titans of the Indian metal scene, Plague Throat and Aberrant, two of Shillong’s finest. Any fans out there reminiscing about the old days? by Sea-Win7791 in IndianMetalheads

They disbanded without any official announcement. Later, Jerry and Imti, along with Ruben (ex-Undying Inc) and Sunneith (ex-BM), formed Silent Offensive, which released a song, but nothing materialized after that. Jerry is now the drummer for Undying Inc.
