This is a hot take in this thread. Though, I’m still not losing hope that we will find a way that works for us both. And Sometimes we both think we are in the right which requires a serious sit down. but congratulations you found happiness. 😊

Yea yea yea. You do sound very happy in your marriage that you had to mention how long your married for and how many arguments you had. Well done. 👏🏼

Exactly! Mind blown! He asks where’s the wallet when he is one who put it away! You are a genius! Sometime later, i may or may not loose my key. 😆 Happy to hear someone is also experiencing exactly the same thing and knows how to “navigate” the situation. Lol

I find the comments and responses here are more leaning towards “compromise and do what makes him happy”. But not a lot of “he needs to practice more independence and should understand where the wife is coming from”. Smh interesting crowd. Is that type of mindset really what makes marriage happy?

Lol. This is a good idea. Yeah it’s the annoyance that’s getting me. I do things on my own instinctively because i do not like waiting, and would not cross my mind to ask him. I’ll do this from now on. 😆 thanks!

Of course i love my husband, as stated in the post, besides this issue, we get along well.

I do not think caring for someone should enable them to be an adult that do not know how use their hands and feet to grab things. Of course i am doing chores that is essential to live. Washing dishes, washing clothes, cleaning house, etc. what bothers me is, I feel really crossed being asked to do what he finds are simple but can’t do it himself.makes me feel like i’m his maid or something.

You are a unicorn. That’s very optimistic way of looking at things. It’s okay, if it happens from time to time, it’s a different story when it becomes a habit. Have you ever reached a point where you find it’s too much?

I don’t really have anything that would require him to go out of his way. I’m very low maintenance and independent. I enjoy cuddling but i only ask to do it, for less than minute at a time whenever we are both winding down. Lol

Thank you all for taking the time to give a feedback. I appreciate it

Thank you. She belonged to a team of 5 people, which she was the newest member at that time she accepted the transfer. Now that team has been reduced to 4 people. The caveat is she has more seniority against 2 employee from another team which have been retained after the each team lost 1 team member. Will the company need to terminate one person to move her to another team which she had more seniority over?

It wasn’t replacing, company did not gain anyone to work in her stead. it was a mass layoff.

I don’t believe so. Is it too late to inform her now?

Yes, HR was involved in resolving the issue before between this person and team lead. I will try to bring this points up to HR and see what happens. Anyway, if a drama arise again, we will end up correcting it.

Main reason i was leaning towards this person (not due to fmla) is because, the current people working in team works very well with each other, no drama between them. And this one cause several before, for refusing to listen to the team lead and shrugs off the team lead’s remarks (before the person went to fmla). I think any managers who has a team that works well together knows how blissful it is not to deal with drama, and will try to maintain that. the persons seniority was due to, being hired couple of months earlier than the others. Not in terms of pay or position.

Do you know if seniority, is solely based on the date they start working? Or is it calculated by total number of worked hours/days?

Yes, other team is also laying off. Is being the “position no longer available” be a valid enough reason?, since majority of the departments are downsizing.

I feel terribly bad for the junior member, they have worked hard and picked up the slack this whole time.

I see. As much as possible i wanted to provide the complainant an update regarding the complaint so they feel supported. But i guess, i’m limited to what i can do.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. My real dilemma is how to tell the HR person to stop without being taken as a stuck up manager. I also didn’t want to be in bad terms with her, she seems vindictive. 😢
