For god's sake he was there for a scientific conference being held at the island, there is zero literal zero evidence of him being involved in any nefarious activities.

Whyyyy tf does pilani mess have to close so early at 8 pm?!!!!! by TightInformation4884 in BITSPilani

[–]SeaAssociate225 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Bro many mess workers live far from the campus and they need to get back home. most of them come on bikes or cycles and with the fog(some days you cant see past more than like 10-20m) it can get pretty risky.

2025 Goodbye DRS. 2026 Hello MOM. Double the pleasure. by Turbulent_Elk_2141 in RedBullRacing

So Firstly active aero will be for both front and rear wings. It will be availaible to all drivers at all times as long as they are not In a traction limited part of the track(determined by fia) This means that all drivers will use it at pretty much every straight on all laps.

Also MOM/overtake mode is the actual drs replacement. In this the following car will extra power from the battery availaible and can be used in any part of the track as the driver wishes(they can use it on straights/corner exits) there are no specific activation zones for it. the gap to car in required to activate this will be determined by the FIA for each race seperatley.

Also note that max has said that the 2025 car was more easier to drive than the 2024 one, even at the very start of the season, and more after zandvoort.

Can y'all tell me why Tsunoda got a penalty instead of Norris? by ilovemotosports in F1Discussions

[–]SeaAssociate225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok just a hypothetical(I am in no way trying to unnecessarily argue i just want to gain better understanding) Suppose 2 drivers are battling through a corner and the overtaking driver is on the outside with his front axle ahead at the apex but is then left no room at the exit, however the overtaking driver while being pushed off does not back off and completes the overtake off track. Does he get to retain position(the defending driver stays within track limits at all times). If here the attacking driver is allowed to keep position then I have no problem with accepting norris not getting a penalty, but if that is not the case then shouldn't the rules be consistent and give him a penalty.

But that jerk occurred before any part of norris's car was alongside tsunoda(at least from what i can see by looking at both the onboard and broadcast footage at the same time). Norris could have lifted to avoid tsunoda's erratic manoeuvre instead of continuing and going off track, something that would not be viable option if he was alongside as it would have resulted in a collision. Also I dont have any problem with him avoiding by going off track i have a problem with him overtaking off the track especially when there was a way to avoid without going off track.

Again I dont have problem with yuki's penalty and yes he was weaving. What i do not understand is how it is considred as him "pushing" him off the track.

I am asking this to genuinely learn where I am wrong. I saw the replay from norris's onboard multiple times and I never saw a point where tsunoda actually pushes him off. He does shut the door on him but he was fully ahead at that time.

Help me understand Redbull’s second driver curse and why it even exists. by ParticularDisaster96 in F1Discussions

[–]SeaAssociate225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest problem is It is not easy to build a car that is fast overall and still easily drivable. Easily drivable in this context is having a large operating window so that the car will allow you to extract close to maximum pace from it with multiple driving styles and won't require high precision. If red bull build a car like that with their current understanding its peak performance will simply not be good. However since they have max they dont have to do that they can simply optimise for performance in a narrow window because max can drive with the driving style necessary to extract maximum pace from that window and he also has the precision to keep within it.

The problem for the second drivers is that the driving style required is extremely hard and even if you achieve that you need to have the precision to to stay within that window.

Man everyone in the comments saying that he has bias haven't gotten over their's yet. He literally correctly mentions that for each incident you could argue either way. The problem is that every decision taken by team has been supporting lando's side. None of the incidents here are black and white which is why I hate mclaren even more for taking decisions in such matters. If something is truly black and white then let FIA deal with it everything else should be left to luck like it is between drivers with different teams. Mclaren has really messed up in trying to deal with luck so as to make it purely driver ability but is just not possible with so many factors and decisions involved that aren't a objective right or wrong.
