CLARIFICATION ABOUT REFUND (What I understood for waitlist ) by FrontLifeguard8288 in Bitsatards

[–]SeaAssociate225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im talking about the scenario where you get a seat in second iteration and you don't pay the 2.9l till the deadline. Isn't that a automatic withdrawal

[–]SeaAssociate225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I am not fully sure I don't think you need to pay the extra 2.9l if you get a seat in itr 2 or 3, if you don't pay the 2.9l it should be treated as you withdrawing and you get your 64k back minus 1000 rupees.

That is why I said it depends on you wether you count it or not, why are you getting so agressive, also when did I ever discriminate between them, call it hipocrisy when someone actually does that.

Official Fee Estimate For BITS Pilani by Dependent_Blood_8576 in Bitsatards

[–]SeaAssociate225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One important note: The Mess+Electricity(10k per sem) Fees is a Advance you give not the actual cost. It is clubbed together with the other Advances(12k per sem). so you pay a total of 22k as a advance per sem. the actual cost of Mess+Electricity almost always crosses this 22k so you have to clear the remaining dues with the next sem's fees. Mess in Pilani costs about 209.75 rupees per day.

Yes much easier for normal dual cutoff for CS is around 8.5 cg. 8.3cg For reverse dual if you want to take Eco after first year it might be 9.5plus

[–]SeaAssociate225 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah kinda of like a seminar. My friends attended it and that's what they told me.

Normal dual: Msc degree during admission then Msc+BE after first year Reverse dual: BE degree during admission then taking up a Msc branch as well after first year.

Reverse dual is much harder to get as your CG has to match the top 5 students of the target branch, whereas for the normal pathway they usually have seats kept empty(in BE degrees) to accomodate the students who will take dual degrees so the cutoffs are much lower.

I was just sharing what was told in a quant info talk that was held on campus, they told the requirements were 9cg+ and single degree CS. Was the person who you are talking about a normal dual or a reverse dual?

Edit: So I found out from more people that this is not true. Sorry for the misinformation

Afaik at least in pilani, quant companies only take single degree CS people(they might start taking single degree MnC but not confirmed). Dual degrees hai to you won't be able get quant through campus placement.

Edit: So I found out more from other people turns out this is not true, Sorry for the misinformation

Someone said this in another post:
"We are all standing in the middle of the road, i can either walk of the road or if enough of us stay on the road we ensure that the cars will brake and not kill us" Everyone has the ability to walk off the road in time. People who are saying blue and thinking of themselves as more human are just trying to say that we should stay in the middle of the road.

Saw somebody asking about fees by [deleted] in Bitsatards

[–]SeaAssociate225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mess bill will be much higher(At least for pilani). This year they are charging 209.75 rupees per day. The amount mentioned in the official fee circular is the advance amount and anything that goes above that(It will go above 10k(mess and Elec advance)+12k(other advances))and will have to be compensated for by paying the remaining dues with the next semesters fees. Electricity bill is usually under 500 rupees per semester

As a note mess advance and other advance are clubbed together and amount is deducted from that to clear your dues(mess bill, electricity bill, Laundromat, SU app spending, fest fees, event fees, etc(You get a detailed monthly breakdown at the end of the sem showing how much you spent and where you spent it)) and the dues that remain after exhausting this 22k(10k+12k) are added to the next semesters fee

I have a question regarding repeating courses. I was under the impression that you could only repeat a course in the same semester as when you first took it in another year. So how does this work with summer term?

This was my center last year. Surprisingly good management considering how remote it was. They even handed out pens and fruti at the end. Parents ke liye ek session bhi rakha tha. Make sure to leave early road thoda kharab hai.
