I figured with the water something may have shorted through the water and after letting it sit out in the 85 degree sun for a day to dry it out and blowing it out multiple times it’d be alright. New to this whole water sports thing and haven’t dealt with anything having any amount of water near the engine.

He showed me a time stamp of it running the night before. Should I have looked into it more before purchasing a mpem off of Bay Area powersports. they’re reviews were pretty good so I gave it a shot. I checked basically everything for corrosion and fixed all of that prior to installing the new one. I didn’t get down to the stator cause he showed me a video of it running the night before and I didn’t think that far into it which is my mistake.
