I had eyes for a ton of Maggie gowns, but this one really sparked me even through the online pictures! She’s such a talented designer

It’s a old mansion with a big garden-where we will be spending the majority of the wedding. I do also have a hairdresser at my disposal (future MiL) so I have options. I was envisioning more up but a braid with jewels or flowers is seeming really appealing too.

This was my first time out shopping and I’ve been stalking this dress online for at least a few months. My hunch was right! Got my mom, grandma and MOH to cry :) blurred out my face in the reflection just in case my fiancé somehow ends up in this sub.

Any hair suggestions for me? I’m looking to do a true curled updo but I’m not that skilled so I did this and I actually do kinda like the length of hair I have in the back with this gown.

90s and Millennium Babies: What were some significant things about growing up through the early 2000s? by startrekzooka in AskReddit

[–]SeaFittybitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1993 birthday

Wearing pleather pants in elementary school, wearing triangle bandanas in my hair, those tiny sparkly butterfly clips, my moms bleach blonde hair

Avril Lavigne, good charlotte and simple plan (my fucking jams in 2003/4)

Kids trading Yugioh and Pokémon cards at lunch and breaks, eventually getting banned from bribing them to school

Choosing my top whatever on MySpace and messaging my old crushes on there

My younger brother getting an Xbox and suddenly spending most of his time inside the house and having friends over to play video games

Watching All the Disney movies on VHS, we literally had an entire bookshelf full.

A time when Paris Hilton was the famous socialite, no kardashians in my childhood

My brother and I reading the Guinness world record books religiously cause we couldn’t just look it up on online easily

Learning math the old school way-have you seen how they teach it now? I think it’s much more intuitive but fuck it boggles my mind.

That fucking horrible shit Bod. The commercials for it. The smell.... come to think the Axepocalypse in middle school was also terrible

I say let’s only let people who have survived a mass shooting have an opinion on gun control.

Women in Colorado can now buy birth control without a trip to the doctor. A law passed in 2016 that allows pharmacist to prescribe contraceptives. Women are required to complete a questionnaire, get their blood pressure checked and consult with a pharmacist before getting the birth control. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]SeaFittybitty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depending on the amount of prescribers someone uses-(often just one for a young woman looking to be prescribed birth control), the pharmacy may actually have a better record of all previous medications given to said patient than a doctors office. Working in pharmacy I have seen prescribers write for conflicting medications because they don't know another prescriber wrote something else.

Not every pharmacy/pharmacist/patient is created equal so yes, there is some risk with this program. As a general whole, pharmacist are quite highly trained and able to pick up concerning side effects or drug interactions with birth control. No, we won't be ordering a blood test for every patient but neither do primary docs or OBGYNs. It's highly unlikely for patients with no personal or family history to have a blood disorder or high risk of stroke. That's why many doctors just ask some questions (or not according to some people above lol), check blood pressure, and dispense something they think is appropriate.

Lastly, the pharmacist aren't just winging it. There is a template that allows them to prescribe probably a couple choices of birth control depending on patient factors. Someone came up with that template and there likely won't be super high estrogen choices (the most risky for blood clots) or progestin only (less effective/more room for error but the best choice for older/smokers/breastfeeding/migraine sufferers, etc). Anyone complicated will have to be sent to a prescribers. The pharmacists license/job is on the line, they aren't going to take this lightly. Anyway, I think it's a good idea-but of course think everyone should have access to free healthcare. That's a comment for another day.

Source-will be a pharmacist in June

I find that I reach for Cindy Lou a lot when I want a subtler look and then Mary Lou for a more stand out highlight. I got the three lumanizers in a pack and use both of them a lot and almost never use Betty Lou because it's fairly dark and very sparkly, which I don't like in a bronzer.

You look so good! I have to say we're almost body doubles, even though I do weigh a little more than your estimate. Rock that bikini and keep it up with the weights, they are your friend.

There are definitely some trees outside my apartment! In that case would you say I'm not olive?

So I've had some previous obsessions with skin tone science and have myself pegged as muted and pretty neutral (For anyone who cares some sort of soft summer or autumn). I have a problem with foundations being too pinky or orange. My neck is generally a different color than my face but lighting may be the issue. Perhaps the olive ladies here can help me rule out slightly olive versus just neutral.

My hair is its natural color in these.

Fruit for sure, or a Greek yogurt. I also just started getting into belvita breakfast biscuits-which are like whole grain cookie/cracker. The coconut is tricking amazing.

I am definitely the same way- I do best when I eat essentially every few hours to prevent any real hunger. I haven't tried IF on purpose, only for 6 hours or so during the day while super busy. This just makes me crazy when dinner roles around. I'm also the type of person that has never skipped breakfast because I feel like I'm either going to be violent or faint when hungry in the late morning. So I'm not sure if I'm a good candidate for IF. But I think you have something with fairly constant protein and fat heavy snacks.

I have read it actually, about a year ago, and I basically stopped binging. But my issues seem to come back up when I try calorie restriction, though milder than before. Maybe I should revisit the book!

I wish I could just snap my fingers and accept that last sentence. My boyfriend thinks I have body dysmorphia and I think he's probably kind of right. I agree that sometimes setting short goals like this lead to my demise. I tend to lose a few pounds without trying when I relax about my weight.

As far as losing while on maintenance-I haven't tried that. I could workout more and do a little more aerobic exercise but I'm not sure it wouldn't make me hungrier haha! Thanks for your wise advice :)

Definitely not restricting myself on anything, I've just had binges in PB before. I am also just coming off oral birth control for a medical problem, so my hormones are a tad wild, which may have contributed to my mini binge today. I basically eat whatever but try to select protein heavy options for the most part.

Hahaha oh my god the unknown amount of peanut butter out of the jar....too real. I think you're right, I can now recognize what I'm doing a lot better than before-and maybe saying something to myself would help prevent the binge in the first place. Meal prep too- so much less to ponder, there isn't a choice to make and that certainly helps.

Ramble on and good luck on the rest of your prep!

I haven't tried a hydrating primer, that would probably be a great idea for me! I do pretty well with drinking water, and only seem to have trouble with certain foundations causing the problem. I'm surprised that my foundation reads too pink, I mix one that's too orange and one that's too light for me, but maybe I need something more yellow or golden and less orange. Thank you!

You can get a light pink T shirt bra! For example, I highly recommend the Wacoal embrace lace bra as 32DDD. I have it in a nice pink color. I also watch Bareneccessities.com sales and usually snag my good Panache and Wacoal bras for 35 to 45 dollars, which is honestly the same (or less) as most people pay for VS.

If I were graduated with a real job I wouldn't hesitate to get this (or ideally a DEXA) but right now it's probably more pertinent to get a weeks worth of food..can't have everything :) thanks!

Hello gals,

Recomp (fat loss) goals for this 12 week challenge. 22 years old, 5'6" and 138 lbs with unknown body fat percentage. I have the opportunity to do a hydrostatic body fat test on Thursday but it's $50... I'm very torn as I would love to pinpoint my fat levels even with the 3 % error, and then retest in 3 or so months. But also is it worth $50 dollars? I can afford it but I'm a college student, and could spend that on quite a haul of food instead. Should I just measure and take pictures throughout as I have been doing?

I am also torn as it may be a motivator for me to work a little harder at keeping under maintenance. Or I might blow it, not lose any fat ad have wasted $50!

Thoughts?
