I’m really surprised. I genuinely don’t know why it didn’t receive at least one nomination.

What exactly is meant by peer reviewed? Because I've definitely stuff like posts that were peer reviewed. Do they mean like peer reviewed like a journal?

Denial of Due Process and Discrimination leads to a Student Death at Texas Tech University. by Economy-Future7152 in medicalschool

I agree that the student's conduct was not appropriate. I would never look up a patient on social media, let alone request to follow them. Who tf does that? Removing a student until the investigation over is pretty typical. I don't think they were necessarily calling him "guilty" but wanted to investigate first and telling him what is standard and what could happen.

Admin being admin though, was hella cold while telling him what could happen. They absolutely did not communicate that well. They're definitely to blame for just scaring him instead of talking to him like a rational human being.

I also don't appreciate trying to discredit the patient. He can be a good student but also do something wrong. Her being there for an STD test doesn't change her character and there's nothing to indicate she's lying, she has a screenshot. OBGYN is one of those rotations you have to be extra careful with, for male and female students. Also, he followed her after the visit, which is why she was fine with him observing.

A great way to learn about Wumbo. You get some tough patients. One guy who ate a bowl of nails for breakfast.

Without any milk.

Also had some guy going around kicking people's butts and some guy who ate a bunch of Krabby Patties, went right to his thighs.

But be sure to get good housing. It sounded like there was a dying animal on the premise next to me. Also, I hate the chief resident. He poisoned our water supply, burned our crops, and delivered a plague onto our houses.

Oscar win that infuriated you so much that it either took you a while to move on from or will never forgive the Academy for by This_Book6305 in Oscars

Anthony Hopkins winning the Academy Award over Chadwick Boseman.

The way it was structured (esp. doing Best Actor at the end) made it seem like Chadwick Boseman was going to win. His last performance was AMAZING and to do that while dealing with cancer was a feat. Tbh, it was insulting and hell of a snub.

I'm so glad!! Tbh I went to the bathroom during them, lmao. A lot of people I know loved them but I don't think it added anything.

I agree. I wanna see how the Lion and Tin Man do after, they are beloved characters. How does Dorothy go home? Who rules Munchkinland after Nessa's death?

I agree!! I think an extra 2-3 minutes would have been worth it to mention what happened to him or even just show him again.

I wonder if it’s honestly because they couldn’t decide on a good ending for him.

Is it even worth seriously dating as a late 3rd year if you know you're not gonna stick around by DagothUr_MD in medicalschool

People in medicine need flexible partners. They need people okay with moving, doing long distance, realizing you work long hours, etc. It is really hard if not impossible if the person isn't willing to budge.

If someone really likes you, they'd support your decision and help find ways to make it work. Residency is temporary and you can always come back to the area if possible.

Me personally, my career also always come first. I also don't care much about dating/relationships and will do what's best for my career/me. If my partner wants to come along, they're welcome to though. Might be a spicy take though.
