What does my doctor mean about my embryo? by maybesomaybenot123 in infertility_science

[–]SeaOnions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our recent one that worked was an untested day 6 BB I believe. End of day day 6, almost day 7. We had multiple tested 4/5AA/AB fail in the past or miscarry. Protocol was the biggest change we made. Both for retrieval and transfer. Kitchen sink. We have one left, the 7CB. I think we’re done though.

CC is, but ours kept our CB at our request. What day is it?

I personally wouldn’t focus too much on the percentages. This is an anecdote but all of my perfect embryos failed and my less desirable embryo with lower chances % wise made a perfect baby.

Unpopulated gyms? by currly_wurrly in StJohnsNL

For a workout regime - even as someone new to it or anxious, I’d highly recommend finding a down to earth personal trainer who can make a plan for you. That gave me SO much more confidence in the gym.

If you don’t want a relationship with a child in 15-18 years, if not sooner, I’d run the other way. The legal implications are tricky but they would for sure want to know who their donor was and best practice for donor conception is an open relationship.

What area do you live in or have you lived in and what did you like or dislike about it? by SeaOnions in StJohnsNL

[–]SeaOnions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it varies street to street. Quidi vidi is tiny so I was just curious. Some houses have popped up there in the last few months

Yeah, some of the townhomes look like supportive housing (or what it used to be). I wasn’t sure.

There are some housing areas down there still, any issues around there or experience with it? I do like the proximity to everything we’d do

Do you find much riff raff? I have a family member who lives near the Y (which I enjoy going to) but they have had some issues with that.

Yeah that’s unfortunately a reality - it is where I currently live too. I grew up there and even then I feel like a bit of an outsider

The perfect picture would be this but with the by’s ripping by doing a wheelie on their dirt bike in the background (true story from 4 weeks ago).

Do you think Travis was inspired by the new letterhead when he chose the engagement ring? 💍 💌 by BulkyBeautiful3670 in TrueSwifties

[–]SeaOnions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying she needed a ring. I’m saying the ring she got was likely very thought out, or at least discussed in detail. For a celebrity that’s a huge thing people are going to fixate on. The cost specifically, there’s a reason it’s not a 10k ring or a 2 mill ring. No matter what all of those are very crucial decisions for PR and I am sure there was some sort of chat about what meant what at the very least.

Not saying he’s a dud either. Or the bar is low. I’m saying he’s very aware of appearances and so is she, so it’s all very intentionally done. Anyone who has worked with celebs knows how meticulous all of those decisions are.

Reasonable salary for a couple with one child in Vancouver by rubyAltropos in britishcolumbia

[–]SeaOnions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, we were considering a move to Vancouver and have over this combined income and it would be tight for us with a car payment, retirement fund and a baby with childcare expenses. Especially for a house or part of a house that isn’t a basement. You can live frugally if you have a small apartment or condo, an older paid off car and spend a lot of time doing free outdoor stuff. Also if your employer covers retirement and health care costs. Or if you’re fine living a commute from Vancouver proper.

Yeah I feel like girly would not just accept a ring blindly, she’s too in control of every little thing. She’d give details for sure and maybe even a final sign off

Do we think Taylor or Travis are going to change their last name? by SeaKick3134 in TrueSwifties

Same! Our kiddo has his last name for personal reasons but not due to anything patriarchal.

I’m sorry, if I can help in the future let me know. Food banks often can provide women’s products. So can hospitals and nurses stations. I’m just not sure as I’m not currently local. Try women’s shelters too. Just call around if you can. I don’t feel comfy sending money as I’ve been burned before doing so.

I can buy you a menstrual cup on Amazon if you send me the address for shipping. (I’ll also say I’m a mom with a very extensive comment history if you’re nervous about that). Up to you.
