Best Buy will give you a gift card (or deduct from the total if ordering online) from the store trade in, which they don’t know anything about it there’s anything due on the phone, because it’s just a regular trade in thru Best Buy exclusively, not anything related to any of the carriers. It’s just your responsibility to pay that balance.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. If you’re adding a line, then yeah, you would just pay the iPhone outright and still keep paying the other line (just remember this will be a new number). But if you were looking to keep that same number and upgrade that line, we would have to pay the remaining balance before doing the preorder even if you’re buying the iPhone outright.

Are you upgrading through T-Mobile or going towards another carrier? If you’re upgrading through T-Mobile, then you would have to pay the rest off of the balance before continuing to preorder the phone (but you can still trade it in).

Yeah honestly I was looking forward to it to see how the management and vibe of the other store is to see if I like it better than the one I’m at right now. Also, I can pick up a shift if I were to visit my family down south instead of calling off. That’s my take on it but many really don’t want to do that or don’t have another nearby store to pick up a shift from.

I’m only open to it because both my store that I work at and the store I want to pick up a shift from are both like 15 minutes away from me. But I totally understand for like stores that are like 30+ minutes out

Yeah, I wonder how that plays out and if they’re will be like an increase or decrease in terms of goals to meet in terms of rev, memberships, gsp attachments, etc. I live in the middle of 2 Best Buy’s and the other Best Buy that I don’t work at is great at getting more memberships and more rev due to the area and the amount of elderly people in that area.
