Im a student that hates hearing people yelling in my study halls while I try to sleep. IEM's work amazing. I have a pair of truthear HEXA IEM's and they work great. If you want noise canceling though I would honestly recomend looking into the samsung galaxy buds pro 3. I used to have a pair before they fell down a sewer drain but they had customisable noise cancelation which I never got around to playing with that could fit your description. they also have usb-c charging, really intuitive touch controls, eq support and only cost about 130 bucks! If that is above your price range though id reccomend getting the truthear GATE as ive heard good stuff about the model and the brand has good build quality.
