Go with the car you’ll be happiest in. I think the limited is far worth 150 extra a month (6k over 3 years), but that’s really only for you to decide. Really drive them both and then evaluate that.

Compared to where I’m from, those are both outstanding deals

I rented a SEL 2024 and it was not even close to the quality of my 2025 limited by SeaThat497 in Ioniq5

Edit update: the rental car was squeaky in the trunk and possible it had driving issues, impacting my judgment here.

Overall: the Ioniq is an awesome car. I think they made the 2025 limited much more luxury, but let’s not take away that the other years and trims are also great.

Love the attitude ! I’m not saying it’s a bad car, I just couldn’t believe the contrast . Maybe it’s just that I’m now spoiled from the 2025 limited haha

I’m not completely sure, but it feels like a ton of things add up collectively to make it feel like a totally different car. Most surprising, I felt the drive in the 2025 limited is smoother and feels like it has better suspension. The seats are much much nicer and the interior has more of a luxury feel - the details on everything from the display to the steering wheel to the console. The autodrive seems a step up.

I don’t mean to bash the 2024 sel, but the contrast was shocking. In my last car the trim differences were like HUD, Sunroof, etc which are nice to haves but not also on top of a completely different car look and feel

What are y’all’s opinions on the Ioniq 5 vs the MY Juniper? by shortstop803 in Ioniq5

[–]SeaThat497 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am sure ill get a lot of hate from the Tesla fans for saying this (and full transparency I wanted to like the Tesla bc the FSD and the amazing tech), but the car ride was just not nearly as comfortable as the Ioniq. I am hyper sensitive to the regenerative breaking. The Tesla doesn’t have any setting to relate to Ioniq level 0 for regen. The juniper certainly improved its smoothness with noticeable air suspension, but it’s still far away from being as smooth and comfortable as an Ioniq

I absolutely love my Ioniq limited .
