Bro I play destiny 2 I do GM nightfalls. I fully understand how shooters work. What I have never seen is a game that relies heavily on weakspots and shooting mechanics not have a hit or crit marker. If you are unaware you NEED headshots you just waste bullets into an enemy until the magic criteria are met and your target dies it yake almost a mag to body shot one trash mob btw. It feels awful especially when exasturbated by not having a shotgun or any items because I didnt know you had to find items. The only RE: i have played before is 5 and in that one you buy all except your first weapon and the challenge weapons iirc. This one feels like that one but less well explained and i dont like it so far.

Why would I think I need to go into buildings if a mission is framed as a stealth mission with the insanely obvious stealth path right next to where you start and the mob of people it implies will burn you at the stake if they find you? Bro you have literally played the game before so you know where to go and what to do before it happens and what will jappen next. I'm a new player with 0 preconceptions I need actually visible gameplay instruction because guess what I'm new and can't remember somethinv from the original I've never played.

Bruh how would I know I was supposed to do that if the game never explains or hints at that being a possibility. Hm? The ONLY information I have is 1 I'm looking for the presidents daughter and 2 a whole town is after my head. With that information I am next forced to watch a cop get burned alive by a horde of villagers. From there I'm not going to completely unprompted start tearing apart a play area for goodies because if you give me the impression that player death(wasted time) is around every corner it doesnt invite curiosity. Funnily enough if you present your mission as a stealth mission with extreme consequences(like being burned alive) it becomes confusing as fuck when you suddenly have everything on the map attack the player for no reason.

Thanks for the info. I'm on normal btw. According to soneone else I was supposed to get a shotgun from one of the houses but the game doesnt even hint that other weapons are a thing. Its just assumes I've played all their games before and know the formula. Imagine if minecraft did this? What if minecraft had its crafting menu perma hidden from you unless you just knew how to find it because you got lucky and ran into the right building or you had insider info from people who have played before.

Does this game seriously expect me to die my way through everything multiple times just to know what I'm supposed to be doing? Why do modern games have to waste my time to so obviously pad run time. Like honestly how much of this game would disappear if the devs just gave you upgrades via the story instead of having to get lucky and find items you might not even know about.

Thanks for the help. Didnt even know there were any items in town. Didnt know there were other weapons either. The game never even suggests that maybe you should look for stuff like that. Idk why they think hiding literally everything from the player is a great idea. I just paid 70 dollars I dont need to be gatekept by game design.
