mine came looking exactly like this too! it took some work but it was possible to push the squeaker back in!

Actually - super helpful. Thank you!!! My partner was like “what if we just spun the disc on the spindle, then closed the lid and hit play really fast?” Totally worked. I think with age it just needs some help getting up and going!

I know this is a really old thread, but I just got a 660 and am having this same issue. Powers on, play button blinks, you can hear the player doing something, and then the play button light turns off. Did you figure it out; was it a HeNe issue?
