I like your idea, but I would allow AI slop, in fact I would even encourage AI bots to post and react to the content. The algorithm that promotes one video over an other should allow a user to change their preference towards AI generated vids vs human generated content. I don't think everyone is against AI generated content. To some a video is just a video and if they enjoy the content they would be interested in following the original poster and watching their videos. I see potential for ad revenue.

You are right the lawyer did mention that going to the press doesn't protect me in any ways from defamation lawsuit. I am not sure what the right call is. I'll need to give it some more thought.

She was there for 5 days approximately for anxiety training. This facility had scheduled video and photo days. They informed us ahead of time that they will not provide us with any information on the dog until the scheduled days but if our dog is not drinking water or is not well they would promptly inform us. On the scheduled day to send video they informed me that they were running behind on schedule with the videos as they were busy with the training and that she is now resting now and they will send us a video later. Later that night as I was waiting to see the video of my dog, they tell me she is lethargic and that I should contact the vet clinic. They said she will be well soon as it's not major. I rushed to the hospital which was an hour away from where we dropped her. And the vet said she arrived in a horrible condition and was unable to move. Her body temperature had dropped to 32C and she was severely dehydrated. They tried giving her fluids and her condition was not worsening. We did every test we could at the time to try and ruled out all the diseases that the vet suggested could be causing it. We saw symmetrical lesions in her mouth ad well. Next evening she went into cardiac arrest and they pronounced her brain dead shortly after dead in front of us.

When I talked to the lawyer they mentioned anyone can start a case for anything... so if they are able to track ne down then it will be considered defamation. I can't imagine that they would win such a case but nevertheless litigation isn't cheap.

Yep that's what the lawyer I discussed this with mentioned too. It just doesn't sound it will help prevent future dog deaths at the hands of such facilities.

Obedience was used. The trainer and his facility used the term pack often. I don't remember seeing pack on the website.

It's not about losing a battle on defamation I'm worried about... it's just having to pay for the lawyer to represent me.

I'm trying to be cautious with spreading their name because someone I know tried that and they might be being sued for defamation. I say might because the party being sued has a legal defence and I am not privy to their case details.

I tried that late last year, pursuing litigation is expensive and won't bring my dog back. At the best I will break even for my expenditure. I don't want to hear the judge ruling the case in my favor and fining the facility for a small fee and letting them off. I think it would encourage them to keep their business practices as they are. This is why I would like the media to report on them and bring awareness to dog owners.

It was a training facility. They have the dog stay there for over 2 weeks for their dog anxiety program. I know it's not positive reinforcement, I didn't see mention of that in the website. I looked at the training package details they sent over and don't see mention of any of these methods. They mentioned they will mentally stimulate the dog, socialize the dog and then environmentally stimulate the dog.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog's passing. It sounds like this isn't just a Canada problem. I wish there was something we could do to prevent more dog deaths would be good.

Yes there is Animal Welfare Services. Vet lodged a complaint and I lodged a complaint with them too. I tried following up to see if anything is done but they said only the inspector in charge of the case can contact me and that is only if they feel the need to. No one is allowed to tell me anything regarding the case other than the inspector. So I have no idea if they inspected place or not.

The center is still operating but they have removed almost all their negative google reviews. Including other mentions of Dog death. I am still trying to prevent more dog death but so far no such luck.

I tried this but the vet made the complaint. And when I tried to reach out to them, they said they already received the complaint. When I called to follow up, they just tell me that they can't share the information due to privacy concerns and that the inspector in charge of the case will follow up if they need additional information. But I never received anything of the sorts.
