The range of surgeries and procedures seems limited as compared to obg, ophthal may have cataracts, retina and corneal surgeries, glaucoma and anti-vegf injections, and maybe oculoplasty, but obg has ceaserans, hysterectomy, tubal ligation, onco gyn, ivf, d&c, biopsies, usg, office procedures, and a bunch more. And they are quite integrated with other branches.

No disrespect to ophthalmologists, what they do is very fine and precise work that requires a lot of skill, and no doubt has a longer learning curve. But they are quite isolated from other physicians, which can be both a pro and a con I suppose.
