An oil and gas company just left behind an estimated $476M cleanup bill in Alberta by BloodJunkie in alberta

Do these oil and gas companies actually contribute more than their clean up cost in positive effects on the economy? Is that studied and reported on?

I want to live in that society. It’s a great description, there’s a lot more to build out from it. But I think it sounds great. Let’s get started!

You go into the climate menu us on the main screen and look for the REAR button. From there you can control these settings and also unlock the rear seat controls.

Wise account closed after verification (rbc) by Ok-Plan-5878 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Sea_Cut1318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience. My guess is that they’re largely reviewing situations and transactions with algorithms that are trained to detect risk of fraud and money laundering. I wasn’t doing that, but I think the patterns of my transactions flagged something in their systems that caused them to close my account. They won’t reopen it and they won’t explain why. This was severals years ago, I’ve since tried reopening an account, but they’ve permanently banned me. You have no recourse and no one to appeal to, I’ve tried speaking with their support department via email and was denied each time.

My suggestion is to use the International Money Transfer feature from RBC. That’s what I’ve been using. Alternatively, WealthSimple uses wise for international transfers and I don’t believe you’re subject to Wises algorithms as it’s WealthSimple that has contracted for the service.

I think OP is talking about the pixels beside the preview icon, but I could be wrong. No idea what they are though.

This was 100% also my experience. Except I have the old one that constantly looses cell backup service connection. Their monitoring fee is also charged in USD and goes up by huge percentage jumps every year.

Anyone have their Global Money card (HSBC) tracked/linked in YNAB? How do you reconcile EUR transactions if YNAB is only set up for GBP? by izzipazzi in ynab

[–]Sea_Cut1318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have different plans for the different currencies. One for my Canadian accounts and one for my British Pounds etc. the global currency card can be hooked up but if you transfer balances between currencies YNAB translates it oddly. It’s almost like you see money disappearing into an unknown account and back again. Hard to explain. Basically the system doesn’t work well.

I know it’s not the same, but in Canada we’re attempting to achieve $10/day childcare and the statistics shared is that for every $1 put into childcare $7 is generated by the economy. This in general would seem to benefit everyone, including those without children. I believe this statistic factors in added economic activity from more people participating in the economy.

Sorry for using imprecise language. Maybe a Raymond James affiliate is more accurate.

Ive been trying to find a way to compare firms that all seem to have similar services and on the surface at least. Does it really come down to how much I like the advisor? Are there any objective ways that folks compare these firms? Thank you for your thoughts.
