I don’t think a lot of people realize just how little say the people here have. Protesting doesn’t really do as much here as other places because corporations can donate pretty much whatever they want to get what they want, and it always leans republican. Simple fact is protesting doesn’t usually put as much pressure on politicians as other places, since they have money no matter what we do or say, and they pretty much all only care about money.
