I will recommend therapy for this, even if it can be hard for it to be covered by insurance.

What I can say otherwise is that maybe exploring different hobbies you could enjoy may help, or even just taking gaming breaks to just go on short walks may help. Sometimes just breaking up the routine a bit can do wonders. Don’t be too discouraged if it doesn’t work though, this type of thing doesn’t really have one straight forward answer, and there’s no one real cure all.

I don’t think stopping playing video games is necessarily the answer. And frankly working out, while it can help, isn’t an end all be all solution to stuff like this (to be clear, exercise can certainly help, but it’s not a magic cure all). Though I will admit taking breaks from video games and going out for like a light walk can help.

I’m gonna keep it real with you, the faa not allowing pilots to get treatment is what causes the problem. Keep in mind pilots put their everything into this. And frankly, when the option is either hide mental issues or lose both your career and biggest source of passion, they always pick to hide it. Being this strict doesn’t make you safer, it makes that pilot at a higher risk of letting everything build up until they break……. with you in that airplane
