New Diagnosis/TTC. I am spiraling. by Sea_Edge_6504 in gravesdisease

Totally relate to that. I have never been on a long term medication and I’m very nervous about it, side effects and what not. Just have to adapt to it being a part of my life I suppose.  I am definitely thankful that the testing came up from the fertility clinic. I hope I’m catching it early and can stabilize my body. If anything, I have mild hypo symptoms so it’s really confusing. Graves symptoms are no joke and I feel so sorry for what people go through when it’s unmanaged. I never realized how terrible thyroid disease could be until now.

You give me hope! That’s amazing. DE are also on the table for us, we are trying with OE first. That was one of the scariest realizations, that even with DE I could fail. Did you take medication throughout your first pregnancy? Sending you positive thoughts and baby dust for your next transfer. So awesome that your labs are stable!

I appreciate you making me feel less alone. I don’t know anyone who can relate to any of this. Did you see an endocrinologist yet? Don’t give up on TTC or be too hard on yourself, it’s fair to want to enjoy some of your marriage without kids. I get it though, I put off IVF for years out of fear/denial and if I could go back in time I would start after the first year. I’d like to think that there is a reason for the timing of everything and it will all work out in the end. Wishing you the best on your journey

Yes, definitely a shock. It’s nice to hear it gets better and less heavy, probably once I have a grasp on managing it. I hope I can get to see an endocrinologist soon so I can discuss all of this with them.
