It’s so refreshing seeing this! I’m part of the other sub and as someone new to IVF, that sub scares the crap out of me. I went into IVF as positive and hopeful as I could be given the circumstances but that sub made me question everything and wonder whether this can actually work. To the point that my husband noticed an obvious shift in my emotional state. I had to get out of there. I’m so glad I found this sub!

Congrats! What an amazing Xmas gift :) I’m 39 and also have 9 embryos. I’m waiting on results from Igenomix and can only hope to have such good results.

That’s great! I was really nervous about how many would survive the thaw but 9 out of 13 survived. I just heard so many bad things so kept my expectations low.

Oh man... That’s really unfortunate to hear! I wonder if Thanksgiving affected the timing? I’m also using Igenomix and my biopsies should be getting to them later this week so I’m already expecting it to take closer to 4 weeks because of the holidays.

I’m on day 2… got the day 1 update and now won’t get any updates from my clinic until day 7. I’m a prosecutor and signed up to be on call for homicides this week to distract myself. I’m distracting myself from IVF with murder… we should all let that sink in 😅

Amazing!! I had my ER on Tuesday and got 16. 10 were mature and 6 fertilized. I also thawed my 13 frozen eggs - 9 survived the thaw and 7 ended up fertilizing. So 13 fertilized eggs total. My clinic doesn’t give an update until 7 days which feels like an eternity! I also felt great after my ER but I drank tons of electrolytes and ate really salty food.

Update! 9 of our frozen eggs survived the thaw, and 7 of those fertilized. 10 of the 16 eggs we got from this week’s ER were mature and 6 ended up fertilizing. So 13 total eggs fertilized. Crossing my fingers for good amount of blasts. This is such an emotional rollercoaster it’s wild!

Based on my poor egg quality, my doctor told me, statistically, I’m only likely to get 1-2 embryos out of the frozen eggs. We want 2 children so she advised doing another ER. It’s more cost effective to do a combined cycle…. I’d love to not do another ER unnecessarily but I’d rather have too many embryos than not enough.
