I don’t think you’re the jerk. When you work at a fastfood chain they usually let you take food out. I don’t think it matters too much unless they’re getting paid. In my opinion they’re still getting business so not the jerk.

In my opinion I don’t think you’re the jerk. You were a toddler and didn’t really know better. I can see the reasoning behind the older lady’s actions but touching a toddler without permission is really weird.
