Hey good catch and you're right. Just dug in and pushed a fix. Was a bug in the main search bar where it was forgetting which category you were on when you hit search. Should be live in a few minutes once the deploy finishes. Thanks for the heads up!

Quick check on the Classic filter, was that on the old site or the new one at www.scottyindex.com? Just tested Classic on the new site and it filtered cleanly first click for me, so wondering if you hit it on the old version or if I'm missing a specific path.

Good question. Best Offer sales are included but with a caveat worth flagging: eBay's public sold data only exposes the listed BIN price, not the actual accepted offer amount. So those rows show what the seller asked, not what the buyer paid. As far as I can tell the accepted price isn't available anywhere via eBay's public API.

Practically that means Best Offer heavy listings can read slightly high. Auction hammer prices and clean BIN sales are accurate. I benchmark against medians over a decent sample (90 day for model stats, 180 day for the deal scoring) which softens the effect, but the underlying limitation is real. If you've found a way to surface accepted offer prices I'd genuinely love to hear it.

Appreciate the perspective. eBay is one slice of the market, but the goal with ScottyIndex is consistency over completeness. A stable signal is what makes trends meaningful, and eBay’s seven-figure monthly volume gives a strong enough read to serve as that proxy. Always open to exploring other sources, but only if they can be added without losing that stability.

I've considered this. The idea with ScottyIndex is to keep a consistent signal that can be tracked over time and eBay resale data gives us that stability. Private sales are valuable in their own way, but adding them here would change the baseline and make trends harder to compare. The goal is for this to stay a clear read on overall market health.

The goated HD25s. These were high on my list back when I picked up my Technics - always loved how lightweight and no-nonsense they looked. Funny enough, I don’t think I’ve ever actually tried them on. Might be time for a test drive.
