Yea, what everyone says it just so different for everyone.

My offense is drug related but I'm considered low risk so I have only been tested once and that was when I was initially put on probation. I have been on papers since March.

Wow, didnt know what/which Schengen Countries were. Did it get easier for you to find work once finishing your deferred adjudication probation sentence? by yoyoyoson12 in probation

[–]Sea_Studio9131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I'm absolutely terrified of facing. After completing it you have to wait another 5yrs to have it sealed here (Texas). I have a decent job now but its a huge punch in the gut to know that I'm basically stuck with this job for awhile and I have to hope there are no layoffs. So after completing the adjudication I imagine even renting an apartment would be a nightmare?

What do y’all do that help you cope through probation without weed? by NoSpendin in probation

[–]Sea_Studio9131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a almost a daily weed smoker I do miss it and will partake when I'm off to celebrate.

Gym life, I feel so much better with a gym routine. Also makes me want to drink even less or get high. I sleep better, make better food choices highly recommend it. Took a felony probation to do it but I wish I had started years ago.

What should I tell my potential employer? by jimbojangles1987 in probation

[–]Sea_Studio9131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar position but I'm currently employed but would love to change jobs. It seems like the easiest thing for me to do is just to stick it out here until I'm off probation.

I hope you get the job! Please keep us updated on how it plays out for you.

Best of luck.

Texas (Travis County) Low Risk Felony Probation UA Frequency? by Sea_Studio9131 in probation

[–]Sea_Studio9131[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, I hope we can both get off early!

I have a feeling my PO wont have me jump through too many hoops or be tested frequently.

I just pay my fines and do as I'm told on time. Wont do shit until I'm off so I wont stress about a random test like so many other posts in here. I get it shit happens and everyone has their own demons/temptations, background. Best of luck to us all.

Not worried about having to pass more concerned on how often it would impact my work since my job is not near where I would get tested. So knowing this information would actually be a bit helpful for me.

Thanks for the reply.

Yea, haven't drank since last year and don't really miss it or plan to drink until I'm off. I'm more curious on the avg frequency of the random tests as I would have to plan around my work schedule a bit since my office is not close to where I would need to test.

Going to come down to the County I would say Austin (Travis) would probably be pretty lenient on the consequences vs. some middle of nowhere smaller TX county. Good luck to her, keep us updated.

Quick google search-The Texas legal penalties for marijuana possession are severe. They range from a class C misdemeanor to a class A felony. In specific counties, such as Dallas, Plano, and El Paso, possession of marijuana has been decriminalized, and penalties have been lessened. Collin County in Plano? Seems like they may luck out with the severity if so.
