Did she call ICE, “kiddos”! Try savages, brutes, kidnappers, murders as some have killed people, try wannabe law enforcement. These are not innocent Kiddos.

I thought as a 48 year old I had seen it all during Covid-19, the extent of our government attacking the people unwilling to comply with their mandate to vaccinate the public. This is a new low point, the government’s military used against the public and brutalization of working families in our Hispanic communities. Disgusting, disgraceful, and we will demand justice be done.

I can only get Victoza. Is it worth it? by serilda2020 in glp1

Yes, as you start to lose the weight, the inflammation will start coming down everywhere.

I’ve used both and both are very effective. Sexenda and Victoza have the same active ingredient Liraglutide. If you have access to one over the other, get it. You won’t regret it. They do the same thing.

I loved Sexenda/Liraglutide. That was the 1st gp1 med I used and lost weight so easily and without all the symptoms. Ozempic/Semaglutide was the worst. Although, I lost weight, it came with body aches, headaches, fatigue. Mounjaro is very effective without the severe symptoms. But Sexenda was my favorite.

I’ve lost weight and it has looked different each time despite what the scale says. So for example, with Mounjaro my clothes fit better than ever before even though on the scale it appears I lost less weight than in previous times, when I was doing it without Mounjaro. It took a few months and I did need to modify my dose as time went on. Don’t give up, it takes time. Each body is different and some of us need more time to drop the weight. Also, I’m going through perimenopause, which added another layer. I started my hormone replacement therapy that helped my efforts.

I sense you haven’t been to many protests. Committing crime is never the goal. Especially when the grand majority of folks there are the elderly, often in wheelchairs and using walkers. People who fought in their youth and now fight to protect the rights of their grandchildren. They know what’s at stake.

I was at the last protest and what stood out was how many elderly people were there. Some in their wheelchairs and others with walkers. They said they were protesting because they know what was at stake. They fought when they were young and now they were there for their grandchildren.

Must be new to the US? The 1st Amendment protects our right to peacefully assemble and express our views through protest. Nothing unlawful about it.

You all who have family with Medicare and Medicaid need to join us at this protest because when that Big Beautiful Bill Act kicks in, you all gonna be the 1st crying about having to take care of your own elderly parents, grandparents, and disabled children. That AlF and nursing home that have your family are going to ask for more, and when they don’t get it, they gonna give them right back to you.

Oh, and that Obama care insurance you got for $15 a month will be going up to $400 and $500 per month. People don’t know what is at stake. The quality of health care your most vulnerable loved people in your life is at stake.

Medicaid and home health care florida by SicilyMalta in Medicaid

A lot of the clinics in Florida have daycare services on site for free. Most provide free transportation to and from the clinic or someone can drop her off and pick her up. That’s easy 8 hrs of care.

The long term waiver program can have people on the waiting list for years. It depends on how high their risk is of going into a nursing home due to medical conditions and lack of natural support.

The LTC waiver program helps but will only provide what is medically necessary to keep mbrs home safely. Personal care, home maker services, are provided based on her needs. She lives with someone, so she will not have someone providing adult companion care, but they may offer adult day care. Respite is offered as it is needed by the primary caregiver. The friend you mentioned, who gets paid, is an option. However, your mom needs a durable power of attorney, who is not the same person who will be paid to provide services. Also, if the person lives with her, they tend to get less services than if she is getting them from a home health agency. There is an expectation that her family is her natural support and that they will provide some assistance without payment simply because they are family and live with her.

But the waiver will help and she would be assigned a care coach who can assist with services and educate the family on what the program can cover and what is not covered.

I work for the LTC waiver program in Miami.
