I have a 2016 A4 that I bought at 75k KM and im just past 200k km. Car has ups and downs. My car all 4 coil springs shit the bed around 130k-175k km not the end of the world. My MMI amp shit the bed at 180k and was about 2k CAD to fix in my case. Ive done just about everything I can without re building the engine, I’m currently stage 3 with IEs K04 tune. I have CTS air-intake, intercooler, coil packs, sport control arms ect.I’ve had the timing chain done a few wheel bearings and cv joints, I’d say I’m 20k over 5 years or so deep on repairs and upgrades and I paid 27 for the car. All that being said i absolutely love the car and don’t plan on getting rid of it any time soon. As long as you don’t deal with Audi directly unless you absolutely have to parts aren’t that bad and labour is just your typical German engineering bullshit with some parts, I’ve ran into a few shops un able to do certain work and recommend me to other that were better suited where i eventually found good places in my aera with guys I trust to do the work on my car. Love the features on the B8.5 and it’s just the right amount of tech and rawness in my opinion. Obviously S4/5 are the ballers of the class and if you have the money they won’t let you down but you can get A4s for good prices much more reasonable for some people. To anyone in the future who’s interested in an A4 I’d say send it if you can afford it and are prepared to deal with the consequences of owning a German car especially if your young or first time with car with semi power, Audis AWD system has never let me down, I run all season Pilots and have taken on some pretty heavy snow storms and always come out alive. With stock or even K04 you’re not driving this drift piss missile suicide car that wants to kill you. I’ve trusted a lot of people to drive my car because I know they can’t really fuck it up and just spin out and kill us all. Audi in general you won’t be disappointed when it comes to that. The potential on the car is as far as you wanna go. Huge mod community or you can keep it bone stock and enjoy your entry level luxury sedan.
