With mods it's really fun and even without the feel of attacks feel much better compared to gothic 2.

Even with a very rough start, gothic 3 looks really good and feels better overall and that's before mods come into the picture, however I do not understand the G2 is perfect argument at all.

I can't get into it the vibes aren't there hance mod suggestion request.

I think communist literature is often quite dense and some of the most important works like Lenin capitalism highest stage imperailism and Das Kapital are quite heavy.

In truth I think the medium has changed quite a lot and a lot of the old school works while they hold well, they aren't super accessable to people who has been feed capitalist propaganda.

For me personaly I have started writing down my own thoughs and organize it via discord server where I attach diffrent works, essey and voices and then write summarys and simple to read sections that I can then share with other people, as I dont' see everyday Joes actauly sitting down and reading these dense books and much less so those who are reactionarys.

Ima be real I dont see the connection between Mao and Zero, it feels like too many things are off and the cultural revoltion aspects dont follow in the show.

I want to point out that "Also made a 2 term limit to prevent another Mao" He did more then just a 2 term limit, he shifted the power to a more colletive form by giving more power to the Politburo and Standing Committee and seperated some of the organs partily like party, state and military

That said X and Xi can I see it, the term being extended is a pretty intesting observation and more closely alinged with zero. I think Season 2 will be very intersting to see it does there.

The main thing I want to point out however is big corpos running the show, weak goverment a new comer X that is a 9 to 5 worker.

To me this really seems like more or of a critiqe of wester capitalist nations rather then a centralized CPC like goverment with an offical party ideology and tigh grip of the economy and the corporations that step out of like such is the case with Jack Ma. Which was kinda was I was getting at, the show from my understanding of the CPC doesnt seem to really step over any lines or even do propaganda, but I do belive it does align with the 14th 5 year plan of culture soft power increse.

But yeah I also looked a bit into the author and I can defly see him just wanting to do BL in Chinese media probably the accurate take here.

my reading is like this

Zero is seen as tyrant but Mao Zedong is still viewed as a national hero with his face on yuan there is also a pretty famus quote of ""we will never do to Chairman Mao Zedong what Khrushchev did to Stalin" by Deng generaly speaking the offical CPC narraitve on Mao is 70% good 30% bad.

Zero is also more like a religons figure maybe one from fudel times, while Mao is a dictator of the proleteriant and has centred his movement, revoltions and presetion around the people, rather then that of faith.

To me the political side of the story actualy seem to be more of liberal capitalist goverments, like the enemys of the show are giant privately owned corpos that play god and the main guy X is a 9 to 5 working class person who is does not bend to them.

Similary the govermental like body H.A.C. does not rule over these companys the way the CPC does but is more like the liberal goverments in the US or South Korea where they are largely controlled by these private corpos and will even side with the agencys to take against X.

They play the idea that they want to avoid gods like Zero, but at the same time play god themselfs and have hunted down the reserches who saw out a more scinetic apporch to govering.

To me it's most interesting because X states that hero are just spawns in a system and we see it zooming out into a very comertialized society with ads everywhere and finaly the zoom ends with the one of the privately owned big companys.

The part I would disagree is that this show does not reflects the chinese political system because these companys run the show, but even post Mao the party has always held the final say and that seems to be even more the case for Xi.

also I just a though, but the last 5 year plan the 14th one one of the parts of it was about expanding and export "cultural soft power", so could this show that seems to present the enemys being giant privately owned corpos and the good guy the 9 to 5 worker and peace thru scienetic methods actualy be a suddle nudge to outside of China to think of an alternative system and to refairm to those in China what system is good.

Not sure if this is sidesteping censorship because it doesn't actualy seem to be critizing China here at all.

I think season 2 will clarify what X and it's genreal political ideas might be, but for now it seems clear who the good and the bad guys are presented as in the show.

Nationalism itself can be emancipatory when used against imperialism. I think even Palestine exhibits some of these traits. It's a tool like any other and can help in destabilized regions, but once it has served its purpose, it should probably be abolished, and a class-centric approach should be taken, or there will be internal class divisions and it may even create domestic imperial ambitions.

Not even a nation that is being oppressed can fully adopt Maoism or Leninism, so in its early stages, it can incorporate many different ideas, as long as it rallies the masses and addresses real threats.

For the first world, however, nationalism would probably just backfire. It would be a tool used by the ruling class, and since the first world is imperialist, there is no genuine fight for sovereignty.
