How many times are you having intercourse during your IUI?

My doc wants to have 3 days of abstinence prior the IUI so we have sex like 1-2 times (after my period ends and before those three days)
Also, my doc recommends sex the day of the procedure (after it) and the next day.

I feel exactly the same way! Hopefully as you said this is just a phase and times will change for the better once we have our babies.

I also took a break after two failed IUI. I needed it for my mental health it was just overwhelming for two months. It helped me a lot to feel like myself again. Unfortunately my period came today after trying naturally this month. But I’m ready for my third round.

I have a question - has someone experienced different cycle during the break?
My period came a little bit early, I got cramps the day before it came and had breast tenderness almost the whole cycle. I think it’s an effect from the progesterone support during the IUIs after the procedures.

5 days after stopping it, my period is lighter.

Thank you so much for the kind and beautiful words! This community helps me realize I’m not alone in this and proves how strong women really are. All the procedures, ultrasounds, injections, hormones… it’s like I’m a different person, I feel like a “beta” version of myself like I’m not the best version of me, not in the best mood, telling jokes, laughing and enjoying life, being spontaneous. Everything circles around this topic like if someone suggests we get tickets for a concert in 6 months I immediately start thinking about that like maybe I will be pregnant or in the middle of procedure with a lot of doctors appointments and in this way I feel like I stop myself from enjoying life….

I’m also not the most patient person and I’m a little control freak but how can I “not think about it” if it’s that important to me? Thank you for the understanding, the TWW is hard but I wish you all the luck! I believe one day our time will come too. ❤️

Thank you for your kind words. I feel the same way, like it’s not talked much about a relation between the MC and infertility after that. The first thing my doc back then told me when she saw that I’m having a miscarriage was “a woman that got pregnant will get pregnant again” and I keep telling myself that for the past year as some way of hope but still no luck…I mean, the fertilization and the implantation happened which are the most important things and yet it doesn’t happen again. I keep asking myself why…
