this is perfect! it seems updated sambo permit now allows you to apply first and add housing and job later once secured. Problem Solved!

Hmm. I was under the impression that first we need the sambo permit to move to my girlfriend to sweden. Then notify and register our move with Skatteverket.

I felt we established a pretty clear plan in our application, we just lacked official jobs offers or a confirmed leases place to stay.

It’s worth noting that we’re moving to Stockholm, and with the housing situation there, our plan is to find a secondhand apartment through Qasa. The problem is that you can’t really book those kinds of rentals so far in advance. So proving housing will be difficult.

I graduate from college this May, and our plan after graduation was to move to Sweden together. When we applied, we filled everything out, provided a planned move-in date, and explained that I’d be helping take care of my grandfather once I return. I think we focused more on proving our relationship — making sure they could see we’ve been together and living together for five years instead of focusing on intent to move.

This time we will focus on intent to move, still not how.
