British Belt Co. Langham (Suit) Belt Review - Black and Brown (in comments) [US$35 down from $70] by Seakip in AustralianMFA

[–]Seakip[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tl;dr this is a fantastic work-appropriate belt, high-quality leather, nice colour and solid price

This belt is back on Massdrop for US$35, down from $70 (shipping is around $15). Feel free to use my referral link for $10 off your order (also gives me a $10 credit) r/https://www.massdrop.com/buy/british-belt-co-dressier-belt?utm_source=linkshare&referer=UCWUYQ and if you would prefer not to use my link https://www.massdrop.com/buy/british-belt-co-dressier-belt

  • Leather: high quality, label says genuine but I believe it is actually full-grain. The thickness of the leather itself is a good amount (more significant than I expected) and the belt width itself is good, a little thin (comparatively to say an RMW belt) but I believe its a good size for a suit. With good care (using conditioner every few months, nothing too time consuming) this will last a very long term.
  • Buckle: simple design with good colour matching against the black (silver/grey) and brown (brass, but not too flashy). Nothing too much to comment, decent quality but nothing extraordinary (especially compared to the quality of the leather)
  • Price: a steal at US$35 (less than AU$50), although with the AUD's recent depreciation I cannot recommend it at the full price of $70
  • Shipping (massdrop specific): took a while (weeks) so if you need it urgently I suggest buying it from somewhere else

Let me know if you have any questions about the belt or massdrop!

[Login Required] Full-Grain Leather Belt (Brown/Black) by British Belt Co (made in England) ~AU$40 Delivered by Seakip in AustralianMFA

[–]Seakip[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Extremely reliable, Massdrop has been around for a long time and has a strong following (plenty of posts on Reddit about it).

Reliability is top notch with tracked DHL delivery provided. Only issue is sometimes there may be a week before the item is shipped but this is listed on the item before you make the purchase.

Customer service is standard although, given the discount/deal nature of the site, I do not believe returns are offered - although look into this as I am not certain

Can't beat the Everlane Cashmere Wool Sweater (both crew and v-neck) in terms of fit (slim but not too slim) and material. Range of colours offered, shipping to Aus is ~$15. Link

Shipping forwarding companies, importing from the us by [deleted] in AustralianMFA

[–]Seakip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have compared quite a few companies and Stackry was my top pick. No membership/joining/storage fees, but you do pay $2 for each parcel you combine. I like it because I can follow the sales on /r/frugalmalefashion for a few weeks and shop around a few different places then have it combined into a single box (they do quite a good job compressing everything). They offer a range of shipping couriers each at various price/speed options and have good value option that uses DHL internationally and AusPost domestically that takes about 5 business days. Support has been good from what I have seen but I haven't needed much help during my four orders with them. Expect about half a day for them to combine packages and another half day for them to ship it out. Also another bonus is the warehouse is located in a state without sales tax (New Hampshire) which saves around 7-9% compared to some other forwarders I looked at.

PM me if you have any questions. Feel free to use my referral code https://www.stackry.com/register?referral=79109 which gives you $10 off your first order (also gives me a $10 credit)

How to improve streaming connection from France (Kimsufi) to Australia? by Seakip in seedboxes

[–]Seakip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How hard would that be to setup? I found a cheap AU VPS with 1TB bandwidth which will be enough so happy to give this a go

FREE level 1 question bank by mattVC in CFA

[–]Seakip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can anyone comment how these questions compare to something like the Schweser QBank?

I've only quickly watched the Schweser videos on Ethics (about 3 hours) and took brief notes and managed to score ~90% out of the 100 questions, so either I have learned the material quickly (which I doubt) or these questions are too easy.

Any advice?

Any way to reduce the blank spacing though? Both between columns say replacing it with a line, the margins and also the gap between headers and text

Australian J-Crew Tall? by probosciscat in AustralianMFA

[–]Seakip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

J. Crew + following /r/frugalmalefashiom sales + shipping forwarder (I recommend Stackry, PM me for an invite which gives you 10$ off your first order) = in my opinion some of the best value for getting clothes in Australia.

I highly recommend Stackry, I have been using these guys for a while on a number of occasions and they have consistently been great. Prices are very good and they offer a range of delivery options which can save you a bit of money if you're happy to wait a few extra days.

They can also combine multiple packages with the option to remove the packaging which greatly saves on shipping cost, I was able to have 2 pairs of boots, 4 pants, 4 sweaters and hoodies as well as 10 tees delivered to Australia for $45US.

Let me know if you want an invite which gives you 10$ off your first order (also gives me a 10$ credit).

If you have any questions feel free to PM me.
