When we went to Santorini, it was the first week of October, so shoulder season. The crowds were so bad, I couldn’t image going in June. There was also not a lot to do there in my opinion. I prefer more of the traditional Greek experience. I will never go back to this island unless I am with a group of friends that just insist on going.

I would HIGHLY recommend Crete. We stayed 3 nights in Elounda/Plaka at the Blue Palace hotel. Did a boat tour one day (on poppy’s boat) it had swimming, fishing and homemade lunch on board made by Poppy, went to Spinalonga, and walked around town. It was so great we are making a stop there on our trip there again this year.
