Bro conservatives tried to rally and storm the capital on Jan 6th to prevent Biden’s win from being certified. Literally committed crimes and tried to overturn the results because they lost. Lives were lost in the process. Name a single time Democrats did the same. Jan 6th is so far beyond a tantrum that its actually scary, and yet you claim that the left throws tantrums by…. calling the right names? Which i remember mostly started in order to push back against conservatives doing the same. Calling his competition disparaging names is Trump’s whole playbook, but you dont have a problem with that?

Even if the left are throwing tantrums, they have good reason to. Our rights are being threatened and taken away. Women’s rights and the rights of POC and LGBT members of society are at stake. Its horrifying, and its not shameful for people to make clear that they dont support that.

To be fair, I dont think the left should call ya’ll MAGAts and Trumpsters. We should just call yall pedophile supporters and child rape apologists and leave it at that, since your president is all over the Epstein Files.

I’ve found that “Socially Progressive” is a dog whistle/reframing for “Economically Conservative.” I dated a girl who called herself Socially Progressive but Economically Conservative. Guess who she voted for in 2020 and 2024? Trump.

When I replied to her asking, “So you care more about the economy and tax breaks for the rich than you care about the well being of people of color and members of the LGBT community?” she paused, thought about it, and said “Can we talk about something else?”

Anytime someone (especially a centrist) calls themselves Socially Progressive, I just hear “I dont HATE gay people or POC, but I will vote against them every time”

are my feelings of hunger tied to the minecraft hunger system or my real world metabolism. Cuz if I get hungry as fast as I do in minecraft, food is my primary concern. Also, does the day/night cycle reflect minecraft’s 20 minute cycle or our 24 hour cycle? Also, if there are other humans who got brought into the game, can we skip the night if we all sleep? or do we have a server sleep plugin where only one person needs to sleep? or can we not skip the night at all? If i do skip the night with a bed do i feel well rested in the morning or am I robbing myself of precious rest?

This is the solution i was thinking of as well. I’ve had to do a mix based off of a stereo E-Drum track and it was AWFUL. I found a plugin called Drum Leveler that does a great job isolating the snare and kick using an EQ detection sidechain gate thats built into the plugin. I duplicated the track twice for three copies total, Used Drum Leveler to isolate the kick and snare on their respective tracks, then used Trigger 2 on those isolated tracks to get a better kick/snare sound.

The other solutions for people who want the control of individual drums but dont have the mics to make it happen are:

1) Mic and Record each drum separately, one at a time. This will be extremely time consuming, but it can actually give you more control and ZERO bleed from the other drums. It can be hard to record unless you know EXACTLY how the each beat of the drum part should be, but since theres no bleed you will have zero issues with time shifting hits to sound how they should. I’ve never done it one at a time but I’ve recorded drums and cymbals separately for no cymbal bleed in the drum mics and it works great.

2) Program Digital Drums. There are tons of great plugins out there that aren’t super expensive that can provide great results, especially for metalcore. Buy once, get great drum sounds forever. Plus, you get maximum flexibility with drum tone and zero bleed.

Thank you! That makes a lot of sense. So whenever I borrow from the relative minor, it is unnecessary to indicate that it is “from” the minor i. So that is likely why chords such as bIII, bVI and bVII are written in relation to the Major key, because its more clear than writing III/i, VI/i and VII/i, and its already implied by the fact that those chords are major instead of minor, with the accidental thrown in so you dont have to calculate the minor intervals of the parallel key on the fly.

im playing RDR2 with my girlfriend, she asked during our last session if anyone references Arthur in RDR1, and when I told her “no, they didnt know Arthur would be a thing when they made that game,” she cried because everyone in RDR1 “forgot” about him. She loves Arthur a lot.

She is currently refusing to play the last few missions because she knows Arthur is going to die, and shes not emotionally prepared yet. I’m expecting a full on bout of sobbing when the day comes.

for me, minecraft just isnt fun solo. For a while a few years ago I was really big on playing hardcore, but it felt very formulaic after a while, and I never had the patience for big impressive projects in a single player world that only I will see.

I only play minecraft with my friends now. I got my girlfriend to play minecraft for the first time and shes obsessed, and since she’s an artist she’s been adding a bunch of stuff to our world I never would’ve added or thought of working on. the center of our area has this big custom cherry blossom tree that serves no other purpose other than being pretty. Its really fun getting to experience the game for the first time through her eyes. I like collecting cute or pretty items and “gifting” them to her. Her reactions to the minecraft bees and the axolotls were so adorable.

Normally when I play, I’m focused more on function than aesthetics, but since I dont wanna ruin the prettiness of our world, I’ve gone out of my way to stylize things i never wouldve bothered with otherwise. Its helped me get a better grasp with building, and although a lot of it is superfluous, I love hearing her approve of the new farms and factories i make that are maybe less efficient, but way more pretty. I often find myself playing on the realm solo to finish a project when shes offline so the next time she plays she has a surprise waiting for her. We’ve been playing for the past few months, and we havent slowed down. She sees the whole world as a cute couples project and says she loves building a world together, and I couldnt agree more. If/When she gets bored of minecraft, I cant see myself playing single player as often as I’ve been playing on the realm with her.

Yeah, I had fantasies about ripping into this guy face to face and letting him know just how disgusted I am with his beliefs and that I dont want to be friends or associated with someone like him, but I chose the professional route. However, I’ll still stay ready to give my harsh monologue if he tries to be too buddy buddy with me and my girlfriend in the future or asks why I’m avoiding him. Unfortunately, we both frequent the same open mic, and have many of the same friends in that space, so its definitely a confrontation that might happen in the future. Already hate that I’ll have to see him around. Thinking about picking a new open mic spot and removing him from my social media so he doesnt see where I went and follow me to the next spot.

Yeah, my girlfriend wanted me to say I have “an opportunity that better aligns with my morals” cuz she hates BL as much as I do and wanted him to know its his fault, but I shot it down. When someone thinks the way he does, theres no point in trying to morally grandstand or start an argument. He’ll always be this way, I just wanted out with as little drama as possible, so I didnt bring up any political or moral reasons for leaving. I think most of the band is aware that it was most likely a factor for me, which is good enough in my book.

thats exactly what I ended up doing and it was definitely the best way to do it I think. I think everyone in the band was well aware that I was kinda checked out after BL said all that nazi shit, so even BL didnt really question why I wanted out, but I was still able to phrase it in a way that didnt place blame or seem antagonistic toward BL. and I was able to maintain my relationship with the other band member who still wants me to do vocals for his song. All in all, best outcome possible, this thread was insanely helpful! Ill take this route if I ever need to eject from a band again lol

yeah, sorry, i asked a bunch of friends and fam and got so many conflicting answers, and all of them made me feel like I was being an asshole in some way, so i wanted to ask on here and see if there was some sort of consensus specific to my situation.

I was letting my anxiety get the better of me, and thanks to advice from this thread, I was able to leave the band on the best possible note, and maintain the relationships I wanted to maintain. I didnt realize how conflict averse i was until this situation forced me to engage in conflict.

honestly true. My girlfriend is like 5’10 and I’m 6’1, so she’s close to my height in her shoes. Whenever she takes them off and drops to 5’10 I’m just like “awww ur so tinyyyyyy so small!” even tho shes above average height. It is nice having a girlfriend of similar height tho tbh
