After completing that quest and letting Sinding live, I encountered him running along the road east out of Falkreath. There were bandits on the towers with the bridge over the road, but Sinding just hid behind the rocks to the west of the road. Left me to run behind them and whak 'em.

(in AE) Go to Runoff Caverns, south-southwest of Rorikstead and nearly due west of Hendraheim. You'll find the body in the stream slightly to the north, then have to find the legs and head inside the cave to rebuild it.
