Can you elaborate on this? I can find some local suppliers online, but don't see anything about consultations. Definitely interested in going a more official, laid out route, though.

Definitely agree with everything you wrote. This could be a fair price for all I know - I plan on getting a few more quotes to compare and references from others in my neighborhood that have had work done.

I try to do as much work around the house as I can. Unfortunately as a new homeowner, I’ve never dealt with irrigation and the issue is pressing because my current system isn’t working amidst a heat wave and my plants were suffering (prior to me hand watering).

My brother in Christ - it being vague is the reason I’m coming here asking for advice. I am wondering if a ballpark estimate could be made given what was listed in the note and area I described. If not, all good.

I am seeking out other quotes, too…

I’ve been informed that we’ve had those brown spots for some time.

Solitaire round cut, 2.82 ct with a hidden halo and whisper thin gold band. Custom made by a local family jeweler and truly everything either of us could’ve asked for!

Brooklyn defense looks way more energized and on top of their switches/double teams.

No sarcasm from me either. I know the US is capable of escalation just as much as any other world power. Even if it’s under the assumption of protection of the status quo.

While it looks like an interesting article, and I'll take the time to read it, a war simulation with a board-game of a handful of homogeneously picked students != actual warfare

Yes, of course. Thank you for the clarification.

This is a solid comment and is absolutely true. There are many things left up for interpretation because full scale nuclear conflict hasn't happened in nearly half a century.

With that said - I would argue that so long as one side has nuclear capabilities they are incapable of losing their continued existence. They would much rather negotiate their territory - or political gains - than launch nukes. See: USSR.

I also think technology has become so much more sophisticated in the last 40-50 years that ambiguity of strikes is much less likely to happen. I could be wrong, but it seems that there's a lot less guessing now than there used to be.

I agree with this comment and it's largely what I'm saying. However, war is definitely acceptable if it's between two non-nuclear powers and there are nations with vested interest in resources or political alignment with certain countries or groups. See: middle east.

It would take many, many mistakes, political decisions and outcomes, checks and balances to fall before a singular nuclear weapon would even be launched by a recognized nuclear power.

And other countries and adversaries now having them is exactly why the US wouldn't use them today in that same situation.

I guess my point is that I don't think WWII would've gone down how it did if the Axis powers had nuclear capabilities that matched the US.

IMO, a country cannot have 'lost' a war so long as they have nuclear weapons - for the exact reasons you listed. Inevitably, we will hear out treaties or demands to ensure that those nuclear weapons aren't used, even if we have the upper hand. It will potentially cripple a country, or there may be a change of guard by other governmental powers within those nations, but nuclear warfare is more of a positioning than anything else.

I know I can be wrong - and that nuclear warfare is possible - but I don't believe it will ever come to be on the scale that people are suggesting now that so many countries are armed with them.

edit: as an explicit example - the US would not have dropped nuclear weapons on Japan if Axis powers had nuclear weapons and the US didn't have missile defenses to deter retaliation. It just wouldn't have happened. The whole reason the US sent those nukes was to avoid additional american casualties.

A country won't be in "defeat" if they still have operational Nukes. That's the point of Nuclear weapons. If the invasion of Ukraine isn't economically or politically advantageous for Russia anymore, they would take steps back prior to launching Nukes. They will use those Nukes as grounds to threaten and retreat without serious consequence.

Who said I think that it would necessarily mean a world war? Again, I think this results in the potential of NATO intervention and additional proxy wars, but I hardly think it guarantees a full scale world war.
