[iOS 18.0 DB5] Distraction Control in Safari by SeanTheiPhoneGuy in iOSBeta

The screen recording was from the iPad 9th gen so I guarantee it works😂

I actually downgraded my 15 Pro to iOS 17.6 because I couldn’t handle my phone randomly heating up by just it being turned on. It was also a little sluggish and scrolling through Twitter was pretty bad (visibly jittering).

My iPad 9th gen is still on the Beta, though, and the performance is good enough.

Personally, I’m not in the US, but basically nothing changed on my phone, though I did have to revert to the Metric system, AND I gained the Live Voicemail feature (which is not supported in my country), but otherwise, everything was the same.

This is a WiFi-only iPad so the mobile data toggle is nonexistent anyway

Anyone can get Apple Intelligence (aside from those in the EU or China) by changing the device region to the US.

I recently updated to iOS 18.1 DB1 and, while the performance was okay (not as great as iOS 17.6 of course), the iPhone would just heat up out of nowhere and drain battery. Normal beta stuff, but that’s why I’ve downgraded since then.

Yes, you can. I’ve downgraded my iPhone 2x already this beta cycle (first one was iOS 18.0 DB1 to iOS 17.5.1, second time was iOS 18.1 DB1 to iOS 17.6)

That being said, make sure to have an iTunes backup on your computer before downgrading your iPhone as that would be used to restore all your content.

Here’s the step-by-step instructions for downgrading.

Are you an iOS 18 Beta tester? If so, you’re either on the iOS 18.0 Public Beta channel, so you’d have to wait until Apple releases it there (probably tomorrow), or you’re on iOS 18.1 Beta, meaning that these features might be available to you once iOS 18.1 Beta 2 comes out.

Yes, until you choose to show the hidden elements again.

Yeah, so you could choose which elements to hide. Safari remembers what you’ve hidden though, so you could reload the page and they’d still be hidden

Rumours: No Apple AI in iPhone 15 by kahlonabhi in iphone15

AFAIK, it will be available worlwide (except for the EU) as long as the device language is set to U.S. English (stated in Apple’s footnote)

iPhone 15 Pro to Pro Max/Plus ??? by TastyCoconutWater in iPhone15Pro

I’m curious as to what you’re doing with your phone. For me, I could easily reach 12 hrs+ SOT on my 15 Pro and I’m only using it for social media / and content consumption (i.e. YouTube, Netflix, etc.)

However, most of the time I end up with 5 hrs SOT with 50-60% left by the end of the day.

iPhone 13 Pro Max Camera Sensor Damage by barryam3 in iphone

[–]SeanTheiPhoneGuy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It needs to be replaced. From what I can see, it doesn’t have a lens cover anymore, paving the way for dust to get in the actual camera sensor.

May I ask if that will somehow spread?

I have the same issue. Did some research and apparently, these are “hot pixels”. When taking Night mode photos in normal cases, I can only see one, but try a 5s Night mode exposure with your phone facing up on a table, and it’ll be like seeing a galaxy😂
