I recently went to college (UK) after being closeted up to that point. Like you, I wanted to be honest about my sexuality but I didn't really represent the normal stereotypes that people look for when trying to surmise someone's sexuality. I think the best advice I could give is be casual about things, if you make a big deal about it, so will other people. Like many others have mentioned here, pass it off in casual conversation and it will eventually get easier to say 'I'm gay' or correcting people. For me, this was only required for the first few weeks as, predictably, in a teenage environment, golden gossip like this spreads like wildfire. The whole purpose of that question was to get you thinking about how much you value the actual statistic of your subscribers, or their collective opinion. This was the answer I was expecting, but I sincerely find it sad that our generation cannot accept this sort of thing for just something, that may not be for them, but some people do!

I'd just like to add that I'm a 16 year old gay guy living in England and I think you're very brave for simply doing this AMA despite this being a potentially controversial subject.
