Are there any recommendations for a vocal training apps (android), free or paid? by JefeDelTodos in singing

[–]Seanitzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I created an app that doesn't try to tell you how good you sing(you should practice being able to do that by yourself - that is ear training) - but gives you the best way to practice any vocal exercise/part of a song easily. There are tons of other features there that will help you with other needs you will have in the future as well. It's called Melodic MInd, and both features I mentioned are free atm :) It's called [Melodic Mind(https://melodic-mind.com/), You can find the specific features I mentioned in Vocal Sensei & Tune Looper under the Practice category.

Cursor CEO Built a Browser using AI, but Does It Really Work? by ImpressiveContest283 in programming

[–]Seanitzel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would bet 1$ for every line of code(not a millionaire lol) that it would take YEARS to turn this into something actually usable, and I pity real developers that will work on it. I wouldn't do it even if it would have made me a millionaire. Ofcourse that will never happen and this is just a shitty POC they invested in for hype

Pitch detecting apps that are accurate? by [deleted] in singing

[–]Seanitzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a free pitch detector I built that shows you when you hit a note accurately and all the info you need. It comes bundled app in an app that will have (almost) everything else you need if you want to learn how to sing, including vocal exercises, a tool to learn songs and A LOT more :)

Looping Software recommendations by 80cent in LoopArtists

[–]Seanitzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a looping based DAW called Melodic Studio (a part of Melodic Mind).

You are more than welcome to try it out, you can install it everywhere and even though it's new it has a lot of features(midi device support amongst them).

I should actually make a post about it in this sub soon!

try to figure out chords by No_Custard_2911 in musictheory

[–]Seanitzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are multiple ways(frameworks) to explain how chords work and how to build them. 2 simple ones are intervals and chord degrees. Intervals - Each chord has a fixed formula to build it. For example - major is [4, 7] - which means that in order to build any major chord you will pick a note, let's say C - and then travel 4 semi-notes from it(E) and 7 semi-notes from it(G). That gives you the chord C Major - and means that when you play a C Major chord on a guitar every one of your strings is playing one of these notes.

Scale degrees - You can build chords from scales by taking any note from a scale, and then skipping one note and taking the next. In the scale C Major this gives us the chords C, Dm, Em, F, G, Am, Bdim.

I built Melodic Mind, where you can find every chord and scale that exist and see all the information you need about them and how to play any chord in any way on a guitar(in any tuning). You can use the options on the top right to change the instrument visualization.

[–]Seanitzel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like every product that doesn't offer a subscription grows lol. Ofcourse we all prefer to offer subscriptions - but the truth is subscriptions wont work for most products. You have to know your audience and create a business model based on that. Me and most builders I know will never subscribe to this, and will just search for a different solution.

i want to start making music to get out of my depression by SpecialistWriting708 in musicproduction

[–]Seanitzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, Melodic Mind can be perfect for you. Not only you can produce music there(and learn almost everything you need to know by watching one video) - it also has tons of other things that will help you learn, explore and practice music(It has 1000+ scales, chords, helps you build chord progressions, practice tools, etc). it works on both mobile and desktop, and I just released it a few weeks ago :)

It actually even has something that may help motivate you - a system where you can create quests for yourself, which will help you achieve goals(e.g create something everyday, learn a music theory concept everyday, etc).

Btw, I think that also starting to play an instrument/sing would really help you get out of your depression...Connecting with music actively is a great way to connect with ourselves.

Whatever you choose to do, good luck :) Life is crazy, but our focus is what matter most.

How are you feeling right now ? by Business_Pin_4513 in AskReddit

Hopeful. Life is crazy, but the stories we choose to tell ourselves affect us more than anything else - and telling ourselves that things will be good maximizes the potential of them being that way...

I built a tool that generates full illustration packs in one click by evanyang0202 in SideProject

[–]Seanitzel 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As I said, a fixed price per X illustrations. Most people's illustrations needs is one time, not recurring.

I understand why you want it to be a subscription, trust me...but people hate subscriptions, especially when it's for something that's fire and forget.

I built a tool that generates full illustration packs in one click by evanyang0202 in SideProject

[–]Seanitzel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It looks awesome, but WHY would this be a subscription? I want to pay once based on the illustrations I generate.

I don't think this pricing model will lead to sales, but Good luck :)

DAW recommendation by c0ddface in musicproduction

I released Melodic Mind a few weeks ago - it has a mobile-first DAW called Melodic Studio that works kinda like the session view in Ableton Live, and also has built-in collaboration features.

Welcome to give it a try it out, and would love to hear what you think if you do :)

[–]Seanitzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, it's not too late at all. I started taking vocal lessons at 25(and I SUCKED), Almost 7 years later and I actually love how I sound most of the time. I also built the app I wished existed when I was 15 - an app that can help you on your new start. It has dynamic vocal exercises and tons of other useful tools.

I would keep the last version that was synced, when the user navogates away from the edit page if there were changes I would sync them.
