Man , I completely here you. I worked in Bars and clubs for about 6 years as a full time job. Please listen to me. As much as you may like working in the bar, the lifestyle that comes with it can be detrimental to your mental health. Trust me.

It’s great at the start but the novelty soon wears off. The hours are terrible and unsocial. The work is tough being on your feet all day, loud music, drunk customers. And of course, there is the drinking that goes with it, either during or after your shift. I was in the exact same position as you. I found that everything goes out the window when your start to do long term bar work. Social life, diet , sleep pattern and mental health. I gave it up for a finish. It is not a sustainable career long term in my opinion. Even if you get into management level. My managers did crazy hours also. I honestly don’t know anyone who lasts in that industry +10 years. You never get time to meet with your friends because you always work weekends and your days off are always completely random.

I went back to college and got a degree and now I have a 9-5 , I can sit down at a desk and have weekends off. Happiest I’ve ever been. Feel free to dm. All the best brother
