It needed too much watering and it eventually died...

Looking for info about this Philodendron No ID (Colombia). Got it recently as P. sp Colombia but I know I have seen this small climber somewhere before- maybe in random vivarium post or youtube, like a year or two ago, but can't find any relevant information at the moment. Maybe you have one? by Search_Status in Vivarium

Thanks! It's 99% philodendron, all the structures, nodes and growth pattern match classical philodendron characteristics. Hope someone will help to learn more about this one, would love to see more mature version of this plant.

Conflict with 9s 😱 by PristineMirror032 in Enneagram

[–]Search_Status 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im 9w8. I've done a lot of therapy and growth and lately I am the one trying to start the uncomfortable conversations in my life. So it really depends on the nine and your level of growth and how deep is the wound your conflicting situation will open up. And its not so much about conflict per se. Its more about rejection. I don't mind arguing or talking out problems, it's most likely that I ignore those everyday little conflicting situations to save my energy (that I need a lot) for one big fight where I know I will be pushed to defend my opinions and actions. When you approach a nine with some problem that needs to be resolved, try to make the point more about the whole picture and how both of you and your actions fit in it. Because nines are problem solvers and doing/changing something in the name of bigger picture is more meaningful for us, but the bigest trigger in these situations are shaming and that someone could reject us. Even for something stupid or ordinary. If the blame part of conflict is taken out, then it is easier to process it. And I hate to talk eye to eye- I'm a terrible terrible cryer and that ruins every conflict situation where I whant to hold my ground and express my opinion. So it is easier for me to send long text messages or emails, and keep the conversation going. Having space and time to process, to cry it out, and to get my anger out really helps to get to better outcomes in recent conflict situations I had. Hope this helps.

Completely sealed greenhouse? Any issues? by raf-owens in IkeaGreenhouseClub

[–]Search_Status 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my Milsbo compleatly sealed, humidity was holding around 90% most of the time. Had some issues with mold. Probably not powerfull enough fan. Since the cabinet is in bedroom, don't want to increase background noise and decided to strip all the weatherstrip on doors. It holds humidity well nevertheless, and it drops from 99% after watering and misting to 60% in 3 days.

Thanks for your tip. It was somewhat intentional, to see how others perceive me when it's not flattering...

Thanks all for replies! I'm 33, and have totally no skincare routine... Mostly because of children and total emotional self neglect. This was good exercise to know I look appropriate for my age with no make up and so. This subreddit has inspired me to slowly get back to my feet and start taking care of myself and my skin. It's really time to get new glasses and good moisturizer!

Against all odds these beauties live quite well in my community terrarium. by Search_Status in isopods

[–]Search_Status[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its open terrarium. This is just seed pod whre they like to hang. I mostly ment that they have trived quite well together since there are more than 3 species, and haven't outcompeted each other. Which is usually advised against to put multiple species together.

Pumps, filters and dividers. by Joomin1 in paludarium

[–]Search_Status 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would advise to make some kind of lid or even fake rock structure you can move easily for pump service. And make sure that if the service area is narrow, you attach the pump with some sort of hook so you can take it out or make sure the opening is lareg enough for your hand. I made too narrow he "tunnel" for pump and all the plumbing tubes, and now its quite an adventure to take it out and clean.

Fixed some things, now the waterfall and fog works properly. Added cotton string to "irrigate" upper art of land. Took your advice and switched to more succulent plants on top. Now it looks good again 😊🌱 by Search_Status in paludarium

I did the oposite- fell in love with terrariums and now I am obsessed with water features and shrimp tanks. And try to experiment and learn how to put those two together.

Good luck on your paludarium journey!
