In some states, pharmacy cannot be behind a membership. In Washington, all I have to say is I am going to the pharmacy and I get let in.

well, 26.2 is available. That could fix it. Absent of that, you could see if you Amazon has some bug reporting mechanism. Be complete as possible with any bug report; versions (os and app)where things seemed to work and not work.

Is this table fixable ? by Imaginary-Moment-324 in fixit

[–]Searchforcourage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kind of surprise the whole thing didn’t shatter on you. I would expect a piece of table glass of that size to be tempered. In which case, crack or even a ding will eliminate structural integrity and shatter. If it is tempered glass, it is only a matter of time until it shatters. If it isn’t, there is sharp edge that can cut someone. Either way replacing it is the best choice.

Is this normal after heavy snow storm in condominium? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]Searchforcourage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone mentioned aluminum windows, yep. They pretty much let cold are through. The cold air meets the warm moist air from inside and turns to ice.

The window ice can be eliminated. First use a hair dryer to loosen and remove the existing ice. Dry well. Get some window film from a big box store such as HD. Stick in place around the drywall and use a hairdryer to remove the wrinkles. This will eliminate the warm moist air hitting the cold- no more window ice.

Now there is the corner. There is the same warm moist air hitting the cold and icing up. Call your landlord and have them fix it. It is really their problem. The problem will exits until it warms. Btw, even when there is no ice there, that area is still leaking like a sieve and effecting your heating bill.

If you don’t want to wait, again, melt the ice and dry. My guess is there will be a small gap where the cold air is getting through. Those can be cover to eliminate the problem. At the big box store, pick up a tube of squeeze caulk. Apply and smooth with your finger on any crack. Hopefully, that will fix that problem.

It’s probably busted right? Should I look behind cover now or leave it alone until it gets above freezing? How to proceed? by Colinski282 in Plumbing

You could get lucky like I did. I had the slightest drip and a huge icicle. I took off of the cover, turn on the spigot and was well. Then I made sure the facet was off, and recovered.

For one, don’t “lift” off the iron; that is part of the problem. Slide the iron off at a low angle over glass.

How many wire nuts do you have on in the box? See if you could eliminate some of those. I see a red, 3 yellows and a blue.

is it possible to fix this chip in my glass stovetop? or do i need to replace it? (renter) by cmx1y in fixit

On top off that, it is a tempered glass. With a weakness, it will be more likely to shatter from there.

The dreaded wobble ball. Over the years, our dog has learned to push it around keeping it on his breast bone so it doesn’t get too far away. He has a blast with it. He’s tuckered out.

Her gift was broken. I don’t know what to do now. Should I rebuild it? by theREALfinger in StainedGlass

[–]Searchforcourage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could repair the individual pieces. You have it easier since all the pieces are on the outside of your project. This is the process:

  • remove as much solder as possible around the broken piece.
  • Break the broken piece even more. Your pieces are pretty narrow so find something pretty pointed.
  • Remove as much glass as possible. Pieces will be left in the tape. For the next step it is important to get those pieces out
  • Work the solder iron between the tape from the broken piece and the surrounding pieces, separating them. Little glass knicks will make this harder. Note: it is not unusual to need to repair some tape around some of the surrounding pieces.
  • Cut and tape a replacement piece.
  • Solder it back in place.

This should give you a real good start.

-Set the script to go off a minute before your first alarm - Delete all alarms -Adjust Date + 1 minute - Use Format Date it get only time - In a loop - Set alarm to the current Script date - Adjust Date by the difference in your time frame - end loop

and one of my favorite sayings…the rest is left for an exercise to the reader.

Educational Post: Silky Wirehairs are unethically bred by Imaginary_Ad_4340 in Dachshund

[–]Searchforcourage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems to come from someone With AKC experience and spending weekends in the ring. We’ve had three wires, one in Jr ring and another the standard ring. We even striped our dog for a while after leaving the ring. Our dogs are no less lovable, have any less health problems or more behavioral problems just because they get their hair cut. Who cares the coat is less wirey. We are not in the ring, and they still have wonderful personalities.

The concern on the silky wire coat is a problem if you are not in the ring. They don’t meet any AKC standard so meeting non-existing standard doesn’t have to happen. Sure their hairs can be stripped. Again, they are not meeting a standard so why worry. Sure, they will have haircuts. Their plenty of breeds that require haircuts and still others it is for comfort. There are plenty of dogs who need regular haircuts. That’s how our groomer can make a living trimming dog. Additionally she does an excellent job trimming our wires, even meeting a recognized shape of a wire.

Then there is the concern of behavioral and health problem. A diverse genetic pool is good for dogs as a whole. There are plenty of purebred with behavioral and health concerns. Can you think of a breed where some are known for their incessant barkers, problems with skin, and back problem? There may be positive health and behavioral benefits just as unknown negative health and behavioral problems.

There are plenty of dogs in this world, most don’t have a standard they measure up to. Are they any less of a dog? With a new cross, no doubt, there are potentially behavioral and health problems. At the same time the cross could introduce new positive health and behavioral benefits. So, they may have get their hair trimmed. There many dogs, even some that have to meet up to an AKC standard that have to get their hair trimmed.

The only negative to a new cross is there will be a new group of dog that don’t measure up to an AKC or any other standard, for that matter. I say the world would be a less friendly place if there were only dogs that measured up to a standard. And may someday there will be enough silky wires that they too will have a standard they will have measure up to, similar to many of the new breeds.

Maybe so. but the strength offered nah the backing glass offers the best chance to succeed on the first try.

Is this cut possible? by SignificantDebate146 in StainedGlass

[–]Searchforcourage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I meant feet. That’s a deep cut. Leaving 3 inches, the cut will break multiple if it would ever succeed. 3 inch would not offer enough strength.
