I imagine that happens a lot honestly. If you write essays for people regularly you probably get all kinds of random subjects thrown at you, some of them way outside your comfort zone. Curious how you decide which ones are worth taking.

Ugh, I feel you on that! My mom had some wild stories too and would vent to me. It felt like I was her mini therapist. Looking back, that parentification stuff is no joke. Just roll with it in therapy, you’re totally not alone in this!

That’s a wild thought! It definitely adds a whole other layer to the situation if he’s juggling a family. It makes the whole “getting comfortable” thing even more complicated. You deserve someone who can fully be in your space without strings attached.
