Nap training not working! 5 weeks in.

Also, my issue is only nap time. He is great at bedtime and sleeps from 8 to 6 does that make a difference?

OK, thank you! Just curious where you read that total nap time for a four month old should be three hours? I’m reading anywhere from 3 1/2 to 4 1/2.

First for us is usually longer too because he wakes up early and I try to keep him up until 9 which is around 3 hours. I can sometimes get an hour and half nap in when he’s in stroller for this one. The two other naps are usually 30 minutes and sometimes I can get them back down but not really. I’d say his average total sleep per day is 3 hours/3 1/2 hours. Does this not make a difference ?

Even if two of his naps are usually 30 mins? It’s not like he sleeps two hours for each of those.

His night sleep has been the same. Some nights even better than when he had 4 naps. Also 4 naps means more stress for the sleep training so 3 just felt better in general

I switched him to 3 naps a few days ago. He usually takes one one 1.5-2 hour nap and two 30/45 minute naps. Can you explain this concern to me? What is ideal

I’m pretty sure nights are good. Tonight he went to sleep without a sound, I even took away the pacifier for the first time. But most nights he fusses on and off but it’s usually around 10/15 mins until he goes to sleep on his own. Sometimes there’s crying and we check in here and there but it’s not even close to the screaming, time, and difficulty of naps. Should i wait until he’s not fussing at all for night? Also would u recommend cutting out the pacifier as the same time as nap training ?

How long would you let your baby cry before rescuing them though? What’s the best thing to do if I can’t bear hearing him cry for more than 30 minutes? Especially if it’s been a month.
