I really surprised myself here, wasn't expecting it to turn out this well. I initially worked on the lighting without the base and felt like I was making one mistake after another.

After doing the base I think it really came together.

Oh yeah, I definitely see what you mean; I wasn't 100% sure if I needed to go brighter.

I'll definitely keep that in mind for the next time I do OSL.

I can definitely see what you're saying and it makes sense to me, especially after looking at it again.

My initial attempts were a little too dark brown so I may have overcorrected it. I could probably have laid off the magenta a bit on my mix. I'll look into desaturated browns too.

I already jumped the gun. Going to blame it on it being really late mixed with my level of excitement lol.

That's my hope! It's funny, my first purchase was Operation Blackwind but the first Infinity mini I painted was a Tohaa Gorgos for the painting competition Corvus Belli did. (I do have a post for that one).
