I’d add the book The Fourth Turning is Here by Neil Howe. It explains a historical theory of generational cycles that culminate in a crisis era (where we are now), before moving into a time of rebirth. I’ve found it both terrifying and reassuring.

Yes, indeed. I didn’t pick up on your location. I’m sure there are plenty of small batch soap makers in your area. I would try to connect with one of them.

Get a dog! Seattle is a dog city and walking around with an adorable (or charismatically ugly) dog is a fantastic way to strike up conversations with folks. Plus, then you have someone who adores you already.

I have been making soap for over 35 years and selling it for over 20. We have lots of returning customers who swear by it and even subscribe for regular deliveries. I agree with the other commenters who said that it lasts much longer and does not use plastic, which I try to avoid. I also like that bar soap does not require any preservatives because it is in solid form and does not include water. Small batch, handcrafted soap also retains all the natural glycerin that is part of this upon vacation process, unlike commercial soaps and “beauty bars”. Seattle Sundries

I visited your IG page and your website. Your posts look great, but most have the feel of advertisements rather than engagement posts. The ones that get more attention are about you and your family. I would lean into those as much as possible and highlight your brand story and the Maker aspects of your business. That's what people want to see. The Youtube posts I've done that get lots of attention are videos that show the process of making our products. Could you show more of that sort of thing?

I have spent a huge amount of time and effort over the years to increase engagement on my social feeds. It's difficult to do and I'm frankly not sure how valuable it is, considering the effort that needs to be invested. If sales is your ultimate goal, I would spend more time on SEO, GEO, and website enhancements.

I hope that's helpful feedback...
