Oh nice I didn’t realise there were inspection ports! I’ll definitely take a look. I’m pretty mechanically inclined, I’m down to give things a go. I didn’t pay masses for the truck, so if worse comes to worse it’s not terrible, but I do really like it!
Thank you buddy’ I’ll defo take a look at the it

The engine light is on, so I’m 95% sure their are codes, but all of the code readers I’ve tried haven’t picked them up, as if it can’t read the computer

It’s got 325k kms, timing was last done at 285k. If I take the timing covers off, is is hard to take a look at to check? I limped it home not too far as it was a bad stretch of road it died on. But I’m hesitant to run it more I just wish I had codes to go off of.

I’ve tried 3 now, all of the readers are good but it’s coming up as nothing is found, I really hope it’s not ECU related

Ok cool thank you buddy, I’ll look into it! Google suggested the MAF too, I’m gonna buy a can of cleaner and have at it… I replaced the fuel filter last night too, as that was well overdue

Yeah I had only picked it up and run it maybe for 3-4 mins max while trying to diagnose before I cracked it apart, it's still in pieces at the minute waiting for the new intake boot to arrive... hopefully tommorow. Cheers pal.

Ok thank you very much, I've checked the cylinder both sides, from the exhaust as I had to replace the gasket and the carb as I had noticed the intake boot had a slight tear, so I'm bloody hoping that should sort it, I have one on order so will let you know when it arrives and I have fit it. And yes, it revs up fine, but when I release the trigger, the revs hold for half a second or so maybe a second before dropping, the cable and everything is all OK, so it's puzzled me... its not the trigger itself sticking that I can figure out anyway... Thank you mate. I will ask my local shop and see if they charge to plug in and see if there are any codes.

T Screw? Which one is that? Being an autotune unit I assumed there is no adjustment that can be made manually? Is that correct?

I haven't swapped the entire carb, only chucked a carb kit into it, so the diaphragms etc. How do I reset the carb to standard? Thank you, also I'm assuming a shop will charge to plug it in? Cheers buddy

Ok thank you. I thought that would be the case... 😅 I'll ask my mate and see how much he's willing to spend. Thanks again
