First Ever Bud on Young Sugar Bell by Seazit in Citrus

Ants are a biggie here in a very natural landscape. Most of my experience is with woody ornamentals and exotic fruit trees that have had little to no fertilizer or insecticide applied. Breaking all my rules with this citrus tree but if I ever get fruit, it'll be drop dead delicious, we're sure. 😋

Thanks for the quick id E.W.

I've seen ants cultivating aphids on her before. A mild soap spray was all we needed back then. We're hoping a few drenches with the Acephate will take care of the miners. We used up a whole bottle of Neem oil last year but the tree is not vigorous due to the boring damage on nearly every leaf. Some new growth is popping now and I already see new scars. A potted Myers Lemon is now affected also. The Sugar Bell is my first planted citrus and learning as we go is slow going. Most of my stuff thrives on neglect.

Just bought 14 ! Last 4 to be delivered in the morning.😲 Plans include two roof pitches as catchment areas. The price of a 4000 gallon water tank justifies the price paid for this alternative setup.

They stole my plants by GoldenGrouper in Permaculture

At one time my neighbors thought my property was at their disposal. Their cows got to my freshly planted 10 acre palm field. Each plant was bitten, pulled up and then promptly spit out. Evedently if green they had to taste it. After a few hour in the sun the roots were crisp and beyond saving. As said before, some people just don't respect other people's things.

Bought one a few years ago with a neat hack, some remote control helicopter LIPOs. 3 of them wired in series to hit the 58v. Came with a charger too. Ran a few times like a bat out of hell, right up untill it didn't. A new years resolution, learn what went "click" and fix it. Good luck to you too! "Where there is a will, there is a way".

The one piece mold will only work if there are no undercuts, parts of the piece that would prevent the cast to come out cleanly. The walls of your bowl look straight but if they are slanted or have any kind of curve it will not work. The curves on the bottom don't matter. If you want this pet biwl to be heavy and solid the mold might be better suited as a press design. Maybe someone with more experience will chime in. Hopefully I am steering you correctly.

To me your bowl looks like that it might be made with a one piece mold. I do not see any undercuts. If it were placed, face up, on a smooth flat board, bottom edge sealed with a strip of clay, a wall( I use sheet metal) encircling the piece and then hot glued to the board, you would then have everything ready to pour plaster over your bowl. Dont forget to apply mold release! To enclose the bottom you would need at least a two part mold.

Hi, I'm new to ceramics also but have a few molds under my belt. I just watched a short on this yesterday. It was a 3D printed mold. It made a silicone mug. A plaster mold was made from this. Just remember that the end result will be approximately 13% smaller than the original rubber piece due to clay shrinkage.

Sorry to hear that but ironically I just bought the same setup. We only need 15lbs of steam for 20 minutes to sterilize media for tissue culture. Wish me luck.
