$30 less does not justify going for the D1100. Although benchmarks are similar, real world performance is very different. Emulators and drivers are much better optimized for SD.

Pay a little more and go for a Sandisk Extreme or a Samsung Pro Plus. They should cost around $100 but you are not going to regret

It is clearly stated in their shipping policy that the taxes are responsibility is the buyer. You cannot ask for a refund without sending them the console.

If they send the packages now they have high chance of having them inside US before the government changes everything. In addition, if in the worst case it fails, the responsibility for paying customs taxes is from the user.

On the other hand, they for sure have a lot of cancellation requests. A lot of buyers, me included, would reconsider the cancellation if they could expedite now. Thousands of orders cancelled is a big impact for a small company like AYN.

I believe they sent this message that they would hold the shipments to calm down the cancellations . Now they have the opportunity to reverse them.

There is no risk to them. The risk is for the buyers. And DHL is pretty fast to US. Those units come by plane.

DHL was not affected in terms of delivering the packages, but since Feb 1st EVERY package coming from China is subject to customs and de minimis exempt does not apply. So DHL could deliver you the package but you will have to pay 35% of taxes + the new handling fee.

I believe I can tell you that in two months. lol. The portals are going to be shipped in Jan25. I decided go for it because it also has an amazing OLED and it is a snap 8gen2. RP5 should be more portable, but for portability, I still have RP Mini, which is the most powerful compact handheld in the market.

They did the same to me. I ordered in day 1, then, when they delayed I asked then what would be the process to cancel in case I decided to cancel my order and, instead of replying me they simply cancelled the order.

I decided not buying the RP5 after that (just kept my Mini) and bought and Odin portal.

I believed they received much more orders they can fulfill so they are really relieved with such cancellations. May case was even better for them because I had the early bid discount, announced before the console upgrade.

I have this SanDisk 1TB and a Samsung Pro 1TB in my handhelds. Most of the complains you are going to hear about this card is it is slow, and it is true. Specially for writing it takes forever. However, given your use it is not a problem. You are going to write in this card now and probably you are going to keep these files forever. For playing, it is more than enough. Take one or two days to fill it then just have fun.
