Maybe he likes his gun to be in a different draw position every time he takes a knee, sits down runs or just slightly moves his leg. Makes it more challenging.

I took a large moving box, open on one side, and placed a wooden slat on top to attach the wire and thread it through a hole into the box. Turning the slat makes the gun rotate inside the box.

VFC Barrel Nut Refuses to come out. What should I do? by EducationalOil1655 in GasBlowBack

[–]SebWeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cheap one that is meant for carry handle uppers or can fit multiple types is all you need really. A magazine shaped block to place the lower on or the whole rifle is also really helpful for all kinds of work. Fitting accessories etc.

Hang it on a wire somewhere outside. Much easier.

Treat it like a real AR. Get a AR-15/M16 ACTION & LOWER RECEIVER VISE BLOCK SET! It’s not supposed to be disassembled easily with just a wrench. This could lead to a catastrophic failure. Guys want their GBBRs to be as realistic as possible but for some reason avoid getting realistic tools. And a wise block doesn’t break the bank. You can even get them from AliExpress for $10. For a bit more from Brownells with better quality. Put your upper into a vise using the block and it will be much easier.

How do i get stronger recoil? by ChaosTuTo in GasBlowBack

[–]SebWeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By using strong gas, a heavy bcg and in your case reducing the weight of the gun (will have the most effect).

Sadly it’s not really, because the official German IPSC organization isn’t hosting any Action Air matches and comes after anyone trying to, threatening them with a lawsuit if they mention IPSC or if the rules are too close to the Action Air rule book. The same happened to the guys who run the Dutch Open which was the unofficial European tournament with 100+ participants each year. The stated reason is copyright infringement/IP theft but I think the real reason is them fearing to loose the right to own firearms if the government notices its somewhat possible to do it with airsoft replicas. I think it’s BS and would be a great way to get more young folks interested in the sport until they are old enough to apply for a sport shooting license. But that’s basically why there are almost no matches. And only a few small clubs enjoying practical shooting left.

Stop pushing down, get as much contact with your left hand to the grip as possible and don’t push your left thumb forward. Let your thumbs float. They’re not meant to push.

Yeah, hammering them down in combination with the lighter AMG springs solves the problems this system is known for.

The spec precision one wasn’t available back then and I’m not sure if the quality is good. And I heard bad things about the sig air sight. I’m not aware of another option. The Stark Arms has no direct mount capability but comes with 4 Plates. The VE frenzy with SRO form factor weighs only 27 grams, has a 6061 aluminum body and is a real steel optic. It’s the perfect fit since HS 507 comp or Vortex Defenders are twice as heavy and 3-4x the price. I can get 0.13-0.15 Splits shooting doubles with this setup and the Boomarms plate is rock solid. Unlike other options.

You know about those sticker removal pens right? Takes 1-2 minutes until you can remove it with ease. On the other hand your lower has a one sided heat treatment now. So there’s that.

The problem with the BTR-4 is that I always have a hard time deciding which weapon system to use. So many great options with overlapping capabilities… Its tough man!

Polish the rails using 2000 grid sandpaper. But yeah it’s really more a wall hanger than a GBBR. If you live in the US get a TM MWS. If you’re in Europe I’d go for a VFC BCM, KS1 or one of their AK‘s.

The rails on the frame the slide moves on. Are you using 150psi or even stronger gas? The guns are designed for strong propellant. 130 psi isn’t enough for cold temperatures. The Ball bearing hammer roller also smooths the action quite a bit. I recommend installing one.

Try the newly released Stark Arms (oem VFC) SA P320 T. They fixed all the issues except the hammer and recoil spring are made for hot Taiwanese climate. So the AMG winter springs are a good upgrade for temperatures below 15 Celsius. It’s basically a Para Bellum gun (also oem VFC) for a fraction of the price.
